Key Responsibilities: Conduct routine and non-routine analyses of raw materials, in-process, and finished concrete products using industry-standard methods. Interpret test results, compare them to established specifications and control limits, and make recommendations on the appropriateness of data for release. Perform visual inspections of finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications. Collaborate with production teams to identify and troubleshoot production challenges that affect quality. Assist in the development and implementation of quality control training programs for production staff. Maintain accurate and organized records of tests, analyses, and other quality-related activities. Stay updated with the latest trends, technologies, and regulations in the concrete industry to recommend improvements to our quality control processes. Qualifications Able to meet schedule requirements. Shifts vary based on scheduled pours. Candidates must be able to accommodate day shifts, as well as overnight shifts. ACI certification preferred Associate or bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Materials Science, Concrete Management, Construction Management, or related field is preferred. 1-3 years of experience in quality control or quality assurance, preferably in the concrete or construction materials industry. Strong understanding of concrete technology and testing methods. Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with quality management software. Willingness to undergo SRM's pre-employment screenings. Job Description The Quality Inspector I is responsible for inspecting and evaluating products, materials, and test specimens to ensure compliance with quality standards, engineering drawings, specifications, and purchase orders. This role supports receiving, in-process, and final inspections in accordance with established quality procedures, inspection plans, and production travelers. The position reports directly to the Quality Assurance Manager. Key Responsibilities Inspection and Evaluation Perform visual and dimensional inspections of in-process and finished parts, materials, and test specimens. Verify conformance to applicable procedures, process plans, and quality standards. Accurately document and record all inspection results on company forms and records. Identify, tag, and segregate nonconforming materials; generate required nonconformance reports. Review and validate certifications and documentation for compliance with specifications and purchase order requirements. Maintain proper material traceability through stamping and marking procedures. Testing and Documentation Conduct destructive and non-destructive testing (UT, PT, etc.) with limited supervision, following established procedures and specifications. Support customer inspections and audits as required. Ensure the integrity and organization of quality control documentation systems. Perform routine calibration of tools, gauges, and instruments to maintain accuracy. Process material stock requests per established procedures. Continuous Improvement and General Duties Adhere to all safety, environmental, quality, and 5S standards. Maintain equipment and work area in a clean and organized manner. Communicate improvement ideas related to processes, tools, or documentation to the Quality or Area Manager. Complete all assigned tasks accurately and on time. Uphold positive relationships with customers and team members. Must meet ATF background requirements. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; coursework in Industrial Arts or Trade School preferred. Experience in mechanical inspection, machining, or non-destructive testing (UT, PT) preferred. Working knowledge of quality control methods, inspection procedures, and documentation standards. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Supervisory Responsibilities This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Quality Technician 1 Pay: $21.10/hour Shift: Rotating shifts; 7am - 3pm; 3pm - 11pm; 11pm - 7am; rotate every four weeks. While reporting to the Lab Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality expectations of every customer, both internal and external, are met or exceeded. A go-getter attitude and excellent attendance is crucial for the team to achieve success. You must have a proven record of success in a fast-paced environment. You must have the ability to work with various teams and have a good eye to spot quality defects. What you will be doing: Conduct required off-line testing for products to confirm they meet customer specifications. Accurately enter quality data into customized data sheets and be able to analyze the data for historic trends. Interacting with machine operators to raise awareness related to defects and record corrective actions when appropriate. Maintain lab data filing system and physical retention storage. Able to work as a team and across departments throughout the plant. Assist in analyzing quality metrics, in-house rejections, process capability data, and customer feedback. Ensure customer returns are checked in accurately and on time. Active involvement in quality activities. Active involvement in at least one safety team. Must be able to use a wide variety of tools, including but not limited to lab oven, lab scales, slump cone, air meter, thermometer, tape measure, sieve analysis, and hydrometer. Must demonstrate a positive work attitude by always collaborating cooperatively with coworkers, supervisors, customers, and vendors. Maintains good housekeeping and always follows safety policies and procedures. Ability to function well in a high-paced environment. Performs additional duties as requested or required. EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED High School diploma or equivalent required. ACI or PCI certified preferred. Understanding of a manufacturing environment desired.
