What this job involves:
The Critical Environments Operating Engineer is responsible for delivery of best practice systems and problem resolution on all data center electrical and mechanical infrastructure (UPS, MV electrical systems, generators, cooling systems etc.)
What is your day to day?
Responsible for maintaining, monitoring, and performing preventive maintenance and continuous operation of all building systems to maintain 100% Up-time including: fire/life safety, mechanical systems such as (HVAC, chillers, crac, crah, plumbing, controls), electrical including emergency backup systems such as (lighting, UPS, ATS, STS, PDU, generators, primary switchgear, power distribution, transformers), and hot water systems.
Monitors operation, adjusts, and maintains refrigeration, chilled water, and air conditioning equipment; boilers, and ventilating and water heaters; pumps, valves, piping, and filters; other mechanical and electrical equipment.
Must record readings and make and adjust where necessary to ensure proper operation of equipment.
Requires the ability to analyze the operation of various systems, determine the cause of any problems/malfunctions and take corrective action as required.
Comply with departmental policy for the safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials.
Maintains a clean and safe workplace.
Learn and understand the data center site in-order to manage incidents and events that put the critical systems at risk.
Work order management, including CMMS, Vendor Management, and Customer Facing Tickets.
Understanding and complying with emergency escalation procedures.
Perform additional job duties as required.

Physical Work Abilities & Requirements:

The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) - Phantom Works organization is seeking a seasoned Low Observables (LO) Design & Integration Engineer to lead design and analysis activities supporting the fabrication and test of an RCS pole model.
The successful candidate will apply deep expertise in LO materials, integration, manufacturing, computational electromagnetic (CEM) modelling, and test support to design, build and test a representative pole model for an advanced next generation program in the St. Louis region.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead detailed LO design and integration for the RCS pole model, including material selection, incorporation of advanced technologies, supplier hardware integration.
Use computational electromagnetic solvers to model, analyze, and optimize radar cross section (RCS) and scattering behavior across required frequency bands and aspect angles in support of pre-test predictions and diagnostics.
Work with Manufacturing to ensure proper alignment between design, analysis and fabrication of LO components.
Define and support fabrication processes, QA checks, and build plans for LO skins, coatings, RAM treatments, and attachments; identify and mitigate manufacturability risks, provide LO liaison support to the shop.
Develop and execute test plans for RCS characterization (anechoic chamber and outdoor ranges), including instrumentation, calibration, and measurement repeatability considerations.
Prepare and execute data processing workflows to reduce, calibrate, and analyze measured RCS and related EM test data; combine simulation and measurement data for validation and design iteration.
Produce clear technical documentation: design descriptions, analysis reports, test plans, test reports, procedures, and presentation materials for program reviews.
Mentor junior engineers and support continuous improvement of LO design, test, and data processing practices.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
Hands-on support in fabrication or test setups may be required.

Job Summary
The primary purpose of the Senior Engineer, R&D is to lead efforts to design, develop, test and refine new electromechanical medical devices for Cardinal Health. Specifically, this job assists in creation and improvements to devices such as enteral feeding pumps, thermometers and compression devices, among others. A significant amount of time in this job is spent working in computer-aided design packages to develop 3D CAD product models, specifications and drawings. As part of working in a cross-functional technical environment, this job requires coordination with manufacturers, business partners and vendors, worldwide to ensure project success.
Responsibilities
Lead and participate in multi-departmental teams to manage product development projects, adhering to timelines, reporting status, and traveling as needed.
Design, test, and troubleshoot new products for Six Sigma manufacturability, utilizing process simulations (e.g., injection molding) to predict and mitigate failures, and resolving design/production issues through advanced statistical analysis (e.g., ANOVA, Monte Carlo).
Ensure product quality and regulatory compliance by defining specifications, overseeing component manufacturing, conducting product verification/validation, and developing DHF documentation and test protocols compliant with FDA/QSR and European standards.
Facilitate product transfer from R&D to Manufacturing and coordinate effectively with external vendors and personnel on significant cross-functional programs.

Position Responsibilities:
Support development and optimization of composite materials-prepregs, adhesives, and core materials-and related consumables
Define and validate manufacturing processes (e.g., layup, curing/autoclave/out-of-autoclave processing, consolidation) to be used on production programs
Perform materials characterization and testing: mechanical (tensile, compression, shear), thermal (DMA, TGA, DSC), moisture uptake and microscopy
Collect, analyze, and summarize experimental data; prepare test reports and present findings to the team
Develop and maintain process documentation, work instructions, and process control plans for production transitions
Support root-cause investigations and corrective actions for material and process related nonconformances
Conduct supplier evaluations and material qualification activities
