As an Amazon Fleet Remediation Project Design Engineer, you will lead design projects in operational data centers, that remediate issues, upgrade our existing infrastructure or add new services. You will be the 'go to' engineering resource for these projects and will provide lifecycle support from design through implementation. You will use your electrical expertise to:
- Own the design for existing data center upgrades and design-solutions which add data center infrastructure, capacity, improve availability, and/or increase sustainability.
- Perform design and equipment submittal review for Data Centers in your region.
- Interface with internal and external data center design engineering team, server hardware team, environmental health and safety team, field engineering, and controls engineering to promote standards that maintain consistency and reliability in services delivered.
- Work on concurrent projects, sometimes in multiple geographical regions.
- Act as a technical subject matter expert for your given discipline during new remediation projects.
- Support construction, commissioning, operations, and turnover.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
● Assists Product Management in identification of potential new clinical accessories for use with
Cadwell equipment. Works to develop and maintain partner relationships necessary,

● Owns and drives the technical aspects of evaluating clinical accessories in coordination with the
Product Manager, acting as an initial point of contact for documenting issues or suggestions.

Hanford Tank Waste Operations & Closure (H2C) is the tank farm operating contractor at the Hanford Site located in Richland, WA. The H2C mission is to safely store, retrieve, and treat 56 million gallons of legacy radioactive and hazardous waste. We are seeking a Principal Research Engineer with deep expertise in power system modeling, simulation, and resilience. This individual will provide technical leadership for R&D that bridges the transmission and distribution domains, driving innovation in grid modeling, analysis, and operational resilience.

* Lead and conduct innovative R&D in power system modeling, simulation, and resilience for both bulk and distribution systems.

Upon initial hire and onboarding, the position will require full time presence in the Richland, Washington project office, then may offer part-time telework flexibility. This position works a 9/80 schedule, offering every other Friday off. # Major Responsibilities:
+ Preparing Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), technical reports, studies, design documentation, calculations using engineering software, and specifications for complex mechanical equipment for the waste treatment process and supporting systems.
+ Interfacing and coordinating with other engineering disciplines in the development of the design.
+ Knowledge of industry, and regulatory guides, codes, and standards.
+ Complete assigned engineering tasks within budget/schedule.
+ Support and implement the Nuclear Safety Quality Culture in day-to-day work activities.
+ Participates in the design, development, modification and evaluation of mechanical components and processes used utilizing relevant Engineering Department Procedures (EDPs), design standards and guides, and Bechtel Standard Application Programs (BSAPs)
+ Compiles, adjusts, and correlates data that will develop professional work knowledge and abilities through the application of standard mechanical engineering techniques, procedures and criteria utilizing relevant Engineering Department Procedures (EDPs), design standards and guides, and Bechtel Standard Application Programs (BSAPs)
+ Provides input to and/or maintains technical logs and records
+ Coordinates work and collaborates with other engineering disciplines
+ Provides direct support to other engineering disciplines for mechanical related matters
+ Coordinates development and presentation of material when requested
+ Prepares or assists in preparation of conceptual studies, designs, reports, or proposals
+ Evaluates, selects, and applies standard mechanical engineering methods, techniques, procedures, and criteria, using independent judgment in making adaptations and modifications
+ Provides technical assistance to other mechanical personnel and will interact with project functions, the customer, and regulatory agency personnel in the resolution of complex regulatory issues and industry codes and standards
+ Provides assistance to project and construction management in identifying and complying with project mechanical requirements and in addressing issues as they arise during project execution
# Education and Experience Requirements:
**Level I**
+ Requires a bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Nuclear, or Chemical Engineering from an accredited university or college with a minimum of 1 year of relevant professional work experience, or lieu of degree, a minimum of 5 years of relevant professional work experience
**Level II**
+ Requires a bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Nuclear, or Chemical Engineering from an accredited university or college and a minimum of 2 years of relevant professional work experience, or in lieu of degree, a minimum of 6 years of relevant professional work experience
# Required Knowledge and Skills:
+ Must be authorized to work and remain in the United States without Bechtel visa sponsorship now or in the future.
+ Must be able to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical (if located at the construction site), and background check which includes verification of employment and education.
+ Must be able to obtain a Department of Energy badge for access to the Hanford Site. (Even if teleworking, must still be able to comply with security requirements to obtain a badge.)
+ Non-U.S. citizens from countries identified by the Department of Energy as posing heightened security concerns-including sensitive countries, state sponsors of terrorism, countries of risk, and other designated countries are subject to additional security requirements that limit site access.
