* Monitor and report weekly on the status of all current design projects, design schedule and actual cost.
* Prepare plans and specifications in conjunction with other project team members for construction packages.
* Participation in the entire design cycle including conceptual design, analysis, integration, and construction support.
* Designing and routing individual HVAC or fluid subsystems (i.e. pressurization, pneumatics, discharge, and capture) including discrepancy resolution.
* Designing fluid component groups (i.e. solenoid valves, regulators, pressure vessels) including specification, procurement, processing, and discrepancy resolution of specific components.
* Prepare plans and drawings using design software. Performs various analyses, including dimensional, thermal, integration, etc. to assist in the identification of correct configuration, integrity, and feasibility of design(s).
* Project planning, scheduling, and cost estimation.
* Develop heat load analysis models, flow models, etc. as required for the design of facility systems. Systems include but are not limited to: Cryogenic and gas systems.
* Review of vendor/contractor submittals, Requests for Information (RFIs) and change orders to bring product design from engineering phase through completed construction.
* Perform trade studies and conceptual design studies to support site-wide improvements.
* Assist other departments as needed with engineering support.
Job Requirements
Mandatory:
* Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from an ABET accredited university.
* MS degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering degree a plus.
* Working knowledge of HVAC fluid components such as valves, regulators, and fittings.
* Active professional engineer (PE) licensure registered in the state of LA, a plus.
* Knowledge of fabrication, integration processes and quality control relative to tubes/piping, ductwork, and machined components.
* Working knowledge of materials and treatments.
* 5-10+ years' experience working with mechanical design principles and practices. Knowledge of and application of current industry standards, such as, but not limited to: ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel Code Section VIII, ASME B31.3 Process Piping, ASHRAE 90.1, International Building Code, etc.

The Project Engineer will work closely with the Director of Engineering to direct the integration of project activities and technical products, providing technical support to business development, estimating, and on-site support teams. The Project Engineer shall at the discretion of the Director of Engineering perform field engineering work related to the ongoing projects for which the Project Engineer is responsible. These efforts are to facilitate an ongoing relationship and liaison between engineering and the production shipyard program management team.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate and schedule engineering tasks among various disciplines for assigned projects.

**Overview**
The Mechanical Engineer PE I applies standard engineering techniques to design, analyze, test, maintain, repair, or improve products, components, or assemblies.
**Responsibilities**
+ Responsible for signing and sealing engineering documents.
+ Analyzes, develops and evaluates systems.
+ Improves and maintains current systems or creates brand new projects.
+ Designs and drafts blueprints, visits systems in the field and manages projects.
+ Applies engineering techniques and analyses within the scope of the assignment.
+ Performs work under general supervision.
+ Handles complex issues and problems, and refers only the most complex issues to higher-level staff.
**Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's degree in Engineering and Professional Engineer License (PE)
+ 4-6 years of experience
+ Possesses working knowledge of the subject matter

They can start without a clearance. -Candidates can sit out of Hunt Valley OR Slidell, LA where the ARV is being manufactured and tested.

Job Description
Job Title: Project Engineer
Job Overview: A Project Engineer coordinates and schedules the engineering aspects of assigned projects across various engineering disciplines, including mechanical, piping, electrical, and naval architectural. Responsibilities include initializing, organizing, and monitoring engineering projects, developing and controlling deadlines, budgets, and technical activities on multiple projects. The role ensures vessel compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer specifications, and regulatory agency requirements. The Project Engineer will work closely with the Director of Engineering to direct the integration of project activities and technical products, providing technical support to business development, estimating, and on-site support teams. The Project Engineer shall at the discretion of the Director of Engineering perform field engineering work related to the ongoing projects for which the Project Engineer is responsible. These efforts are to facilitate an ongoing relationship and liaison between engineering and the production shipyard program management team.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate and schedule engineering tasks among various disciplines for assigned projects.
Initialize, organize, and monitor engineering projects.
Develop and control project deadlines, budgets, and technical activities.
Oversee requirements analysis to ensure compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements.
Provide field engineering services for timely resolution of engineering concerns at the production shipyard.
Work closely with the Director of Engineering to integrate project activities and technical products.
Provide technical support to business development, estimating, and on-site support teams.
Serve as the primary point of contact for the project to customers, the Program Management Office, Production, Purchasing, Outside Design Agents, and Regulatory Authorities.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in the design and development of marine projects such as tugs, barges, offshore supply vessels, and small craft.
Minimum of 5 years of Engineering Experience
Skills and Abilities:
Ability to recognize and organize the capabilities of project team members into an effective and efficient team.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Familiarity with USCG (CFR) and IMO statutory regulations (SOLAS, IBC) as well as classification requirements (ABS or DNV).
Must be a U.S. National.
Advanced knowledge of MS Office products and computer-assisted engineering software.
Working knowledge of project management software (MS Project) and change management principles is a plus.
