POSITION SUMMARY
Respond and attend to guest repair requests. Communicate with guests/customers to resolve maintenance issues with little to no supervision. Perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment, including cleaning and lubrication. Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines. Carry equipment (e.g., tools, radio). Identify, locate, and operate all shut-off valves for equipment. Maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies as needed. Assure each day's activities and problems that occur are communicated to the other shifts using approved communication programs and standards. Display advanced ability to read standard blue prints and electrical schematics concerning plumbing and HVAC. Display above average engineering operations skills and strong general mechanical ability. Display proficiency in at least three of the following categories, above average skills in three more of the following categories and basic skills in the remaining categories: air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic systems and controls, carpentry and finish skills, kitchen equipment, vehicles, energy conservation, and/or general building management. Display solid knowledge and skill in the safe use of hand and power tools and other materials required to perform repair and maintenance tasks. Safely perform highly complex repairs of the physical property, electrical, plumbing and mechanical equipment, air conditioners, refrigeration and pool heaters - ensuring all methods, materials and practices meet company standards and Local and National codes - with little or no supervision. Troubleshoot and perform repairs on all types of equipment (e.g., pump and motor replacement), plumbing (e.g., plunge toilets and unclog drains), electrical equipment including lamps, air conditioners, HVAC equipment, cosmetic items, extension cords, vacuum cleaners, internet devices, replace electrical switches and outlets, and program TV's. Use the Lockout/Tagout system before performing any maintenance work. Display advanced knowledge of all engineering computer programs related to preventative maintenance, energy management, and other systems, including devices that interact with such programs. Perform advanced troubleshooting of hotel Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems. Display the ability to train and mentor other engineers as necessary. Display ability to perform Engineer on Duty responsibilities, including readings and rounds.
Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries; complete safety training and certifications; and properly store flammable materials. Ensure uniform and personal appearances are clean and professional, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets. Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate and address guests' service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and thank guests with genuine appreciation. Adhere to quality expectations and standards. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others, support team to reach common goals, and listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance and heavier lifting or movement tasks with assistance. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent and vocational or technical background.
Related Work Experience: Extensive experience and training in general maintenance, electrical or refrigeration, parts inventory and requisition, exterior and interior surface preparation and painting.
At least 2 years of hotel engineering/maintenance experience.
Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience.
License or Certification: Valid Driver's License

Position Overview:
As part of the talented Brunswick Boat Group Design team, you will be responsible for the engineering and integration of fiberglass, mechanical, electrical, laminate, and structural system designs for the Brunswick Boat Group Technology Center. This will require the use of Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) tools to generate 3D surface models for liners, decks, and small parts and strong competency with complex mechanism development.

Generate 3D surface models of decks, liners, and small parts to be utilized for 5-axis milling and tooling design
Complete engineering of assigned areas of a boat including fiberglass design, purchased parts and hardware development, mechanical system/hose routing, electrical layout, etc.
Design, engineer, and validate complex hinges and mechanisms for supplier fabrication using 3D models and 2D specification drawings
Provide accurate material and component specification for the sourcing of new and replacement components
Work with suppliers on the development of new systems and components to ensure continuous improvement in the quality and value of our boats systems
Ensure that new designs and components meet the cost, performance, and functional requirements of the new and enhancement boat programs
Review and approve engineering drawings and assembly prints for new boat programs
Participate in manufacturing integration activities to ensure successful launches of new products and technologies as well as continuous improvement activities
Support manufacturing and customer service on issues resolution
Ensure that designs have been fully validated and that they meet necessary system specifications and performance requirements
Utilize warranty data to identify issues related to mechanical systems for mitigation purposes
Provide technical evaluations and reports on issues for customer service and field problems
Ensure compliance with all necessary industry, domestic, and international government regulations
Ensure that all materials used in the manufacture of finished products have been tested and approved for quality and reliability
Perform final system design verification tests as needed
Ensure timely and adequate completion of all applicable phases of project
Apply relevant voice of the customer and systems engineering input to designs
Must be willing to travel (minimum 10%)

What You Will Be Doing:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Work with design engineers to evaluate designs for manufacturability and test requirements.
Work with Technicians to develop work instructions to clearly define manufacturing process, develop training materials, and train technicians in processes.
Design tooling, jigs, and fixtures to support composite parts manufacturing.
Preparation of detail design data packs including laminating books.
Develop and document processes for composite filament winding and hand layups.
Design of proper material handling, packaging, and labeling to protect and identify hardware throughout the build and test process.
Interaction with structural analysts to ensure performance objectives are met.
Provide hands-on engineering support to hardware prototype development and testing.
Directly support testing operations and efforts, gaining opportunities to influence designs, improve processes and increase reliability.
Engage with design engineers to review and approve part and tooling assemblies, updating, and offering input based on improved Design for Manufacturing (DfM) concepts or solutions.
Research and coordinate implementation of upgraded processes and designs to take advantage of new capabilities and technology advancements.
Continuous development of design methodologies and best practices.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or another relevant engineering discipline
4+ years experience as a Manufacturing / Production / Process Engineer ideally for electromechanical systems
Sound working knowledge of composite design and manufacturing processes.
Practical experience with composite part production and testing.
Proven experience in an industrial environment for the delivery from concept to manufacture of high-performance composite components and assemblies.
Proficient user of CAD for composite design definition
Ability to manage multiple tasks in parallel with changeable priorities.
Demonstratable experience for the development of multiple composite design solutions for a diverse set of applications.
Familiarity with industry standards and references (e.g., MIL-HDBK-5/17, ECSS-E-HB-32, NASA-STD-5001, GSFC-STD-7000)
