What You'll Do
Design complex mechanical components including gears, actuators, wheels, weldments, and bearings.
Perform engineering analyses and simulations to validate designs.

Convert concepts into detailed drawings and documentation for manufacturing.
Lead design reviews and resolve technical challenges with contractors, consultants, and clients.
Support procurement, fabrication, and commissioning with clear technical guidance.
Travel to project sites for system commissioning and troubleshooting.
What You Bring
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Structural, or Aerospace Engineering (ABET-accredited).
5+ years of experience (or 3+ years with a Master's degree).
Proficiency in SolidWorks, GD&T, FEA, and new product development.
Strong problem-solving skills and a systems-level engineering mindset.
Excellent communication, time management, and teamwork skills.

We are looking for motivated mechanical engineers to develop cutting-edge products for our military, governmental, and commercial customers. Our group of mechanical engineers drive products from conception to production including product ideation, research, laboratory/prototype builds, experimental testing, and design for manufacturing. We do not hire discrete design, test, and analysis engineers - our engineers work across all of these roles. This is a hands-on job which will see you design something in CAD, perform FEA/CFD/hand analysis on it, have it fabricated, and physically test and iterate it yourself. As an engineer, you'll have the opportunity to lead your own projects and research. Your creativity and interest determine the next technology you investigate.
We design and manufacture a wide variety of products and perform R&D on an even wider variety. Some of our ongoing research efforts that you may be involved with in this role include: HVAC systems for highly-demanding military applications, diesel engine component design and electrification, advanced robotics and additive manufacturing, design and fabrication of ZnS windows for hypersonic vehicles, laser weapon cooling systems, and much more. You will have the opportunity to learn every day, and no two days will be the same. This position may include proposal writing for your next idea, analytical calculations, computational simulations (CFD and FEA), laboratory build and testing, and direct customer interfacing.

As an Operations Engineer, your day centers around operational data analysis, testing preparation, engine testing and resolving technical issues for 5000F product. The operational engineer is the cognizant engineer for Gas Turbine new unit and Modernizations & Upgrade products for SGT6-5000F. The scope of responsibility extends to coordinating support from all other organizations directed towards development, negotiations and implementations for the new unit and Modernizations and Upgrade (M&U) product line.
**How You'll Make an Impact**
+ Testing preparation and field validation including testing at test-bed and customer sites.
+ Lead and facilitate fast resolution of technical issues of sold GTs. This includes evaluation of a root cause, solution development and implementation followed by verification/validation.
+ Operational data analysis of new units to identify trends and potential issues
+ Technical definition of Gas Turbine (GT) Operation Modes (e.g. Load Gradients, Grid-Code, Additional Features, Control System)
+ Close interaction and alignment with GT Module Engineering, Auxiliary/ controls and BOP.
+ Creation of related technical documentation
+ Analysis of related technical risks
+ Support of offering (Negotiation) process for GT projects with focus on GT operation
+ Support of COE projects for first time applications

**What You Bring**
+ Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited university/college. Master's degree is a plus.
+ Minimum 8+ years of successful experience in a gas turbine development environment with extensive understanding of gas turbine design, operational aspects & improvement levers. Advanced degree may be substituted for experience, where applicable.
+ Strong communications skills, network building, and solid engineering background. Good program management skills is preferred.
