Building tools and frameworks for systematic failure analysis, identifying edge cases, and driving continuous model improvement. Directly interacting with all cross‑functional stakeholders to gather product requirements and translating these into actionable plans for ML research and development. Effectively communicating results and insights to partners and senior leaders, providing clear and actionable recommendations. Staying current with the latest trends, technologies, and standard methodologies in machine learning, multi‑modal foundation models, computer vision and natural language understanding. Minimum Qualifications Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related fields; or equivalent professional experience in ML research and development. Proficient in Python, PyTorch or equivalent deep learning frameworks. Proven track record of designing and implementing solutions using modern ML architectures. Background in research and innovation, demonstrated through publications in top‑tier journals or conferences, patents, or impactful software developments. Some highlights should include: Minimum of a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited university. A post-graduate degree would be an asset. Minimum of 7-15 years of experience in mechanical engineering. Must be registered as a Professional Engineer (P.E.) in Washington, Oregon, or California, as well as eligible for registration as a professional engineer in other states by comity through NCEES; or, if not already registered as a PE, would be able to obtain licensure within 1 year from date of hire. Previous consulting experience is preferred, but not required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required. Must be self-motivated, and able to work independently with minimal supervision and manage several projects simultaneously.
