This role involves working with various welding processes, contributing technical expertise, and ensuring a safe and efficient work environment. Responsibilities * Provide welding engineering support to production. * Apply knowledge of welding processes, including GMAW and RSW of mild steel components. * Act as a technical resource for engineers, skilled trades, and production teams. * Engage in process validation from concept to equipment start-up. * Promote and maintain a safe work environment while adhering to all policies. * Coordinate guidance from internal and external customers to meet their needs and perceptions. * Monitor preventive maintenance of welding equipment. * Conduct inspections of welding processes and products. * Troubleshoot shop floor weld, robotic, and assembly issues and implement countermeasures. * Support and monitor robotic equipment, both hardware and software. * Evaluate new developments in welding and robotics for application to current processes. Essential Skills * Proficiency in monitoring weld parameters and quality using Miller Continuum and Fanuc Robot. * Ability to analyze weld destructive test results and changes in weld consumable usage. * Experience in plant floor troubleshooting, training, and problem-solving with root cause analysis. * Collaboration with engineering and production teams for quality, warranty, and cost improvement activities.
