The Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia is seeking a Junior, or Senior undergraduate student, or Graduate level student with a preferred major in Computer Science or Data Science major within the Information Technology Services (ITS) department.
This is a paid internship, Monday- Friday, (40 hours per week). Our Summer Internship Program is typically 10 weeks. The hourly rate for this position is $23.00 per hour for Undergraduate level and $28.00 per hour for Graduate level.
What You Will Do:
You will assist in modernizing various data driven applications related to fraud detection, web searching, such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), and natural language processing (NLP).
50% Develop applications in a multi-tiered on-prem and cloud environments using modern frameworks. Using programming languages Python, R and Integrated Development Environment (IDE's) like Visual Studio, Eclipse, or similar, and source code management products like GIT.
20% Design and develop relational database schemas and queries in environments such as SQL Server, Oracle.
30% Participate on Bank, department, or system projects of moderate to high complexity.

Position Specific Information
Under direct supervision, the EHS Intern performs a wide range of Safety and Health disciplines to implement workplace safety and industrial hygiene processes compliant with DuPont EHS standards, OSHA and other local, state, and federal regulations with focus on key continuous improvement initiatives.
Job Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Evaluate programs on workplace safety and health and participate in internal EHS program audits (e.g., review of confined space program and permits, etc.).
Participate in risk assessments in site work areas (e.g., laboratories, power operations, maintenance/construction, office settings).
Participate in the development and review of employee training material for various safety and health competencies.
Promote safety awareness by creating, issuing safety campaigns for all site personnel (e.g., slip, trip, fall prevention, seasonal safety, etc.)
Assist in testing site workplace environments (industrial hygiene monitoring, ergonomics).
Participate in incident and near miss investigations and assist with the closure of findings from these activities.
Other duties in alignment with development, improvement, and management of EHS Management Systems for the site.

An internship with the Philadelphia Art Museum is an invaluable educational, professional, and personal experience. Internship Format
The internship, which runs Monday-Friday over eight weeks, is made up of two parts.
Departmental Placement: Following a careful review of their experiences as well as their professional and academic ambitions, interns are placed in specific departments, where they spend four days per week. Placements vary each year and over the MSIP's 40+-year history, nearly every museum department has hosted an intern. Through this aspect of the program, interns develop an understanding of a professional workplace, learn practical skills, and receive one-on-one mentorship.
Museum Studies Seminar: Roughly one day per week, interns participate in museum studies sessions, which include behind-the-scenes tours of the museum; presentations from professionals from across the institution; discussions of urgent issues confronting the museum field; site visits to cultural institutions in Philadelphia; and professional development workshops.

The Office of Innovation & Technology (OIT) is the central IT agency for the City of Philadelphia headed by the Chief Information Officer (CIO). Job Description
You will:
Develop and maintain high-quality iOS applications using React Native and native iOS technologies
Build responsive mobile interfaces that work seamlessly across various iOS devices including iPhone and iPad
Collaborate with the mobile development team to establish best practices for iOS-specific development
Implement iOS-specific features including push notifications, background app refresh, and system integrations
Ensure applications comply with Apple App Store guidelines and submission requirements
Write clean, maintainable code following iOS development best practices and Apple's coding standards
Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and share knowledge with team members
Work closely with UX/UI designers to implement pixel-perfect designs optimized for iOS platforms
Debug and resolve iOS-specific issues across different device sizes and iOS versions
Optimize app performance for various iOS hardware configurations
Integrate with backend APIs and services to deliver seamless user experiences
Stay current with iOS development trends, tools, and Apple's evolving platform guidelines
Contribute to the continuous improvement of the mobile development process and toolchain
Support production applications and respond to critical issues as needed
Develops native iOS applications and React Native cross-platform solutions
Implements iOS-specific UI components following Human Interface Guidelines
Integrates with iOS system frameworks and device capabilities

Qualifications
Strong proficiency in React Native development with focus on iOS platform optimization
Solid understanding of iOS development fundamentals including UIKit, Core Data, and iOS frameworks
Experience with Xcode, Interface Builder, and iOS development tools
Knowledge of Apple's Human Interface Guidelines and iOS design principles
Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and Swift/Objective-C programming languages
Understanding of iOS app lifecycle, memory management, and performance optimization
Experience with iOS-specific libraries and frameworks (Alamofire, Core Location, Core Animation, etc.)
Familiarity with App Store Connect and iOS app submission processes
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to debug complex mobile applications
Experience with version control systems, preferably Git
Understanding of RESTful APIs and mobile app security best practices
Knowledge of automated testing frameworks for mobile applications
Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment
While you won't necessarily be working with these technologies every day, you should have a broad enough understanding of them to help support your team.
Understanding of the modern mobile platform and common architectures

Salary Range: $65,000- $80,000
