In this role, you will handle essential financial tasks such as managing receivables, ensuring accurate records, and supporting collections efforts. This position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment with room for growth. Responsibilities: - Maintain accurate accounts receivable records, ensuring proper aging, application of credits, and resolution of discrepancies. - Evaluate customer credit histories to determine terms and assess creditworthiness. - Generate and submit invoices through customer-required portals and other methods. - Communicate and resolve discrepancies, identify slow-paying accounts, and recommend strategies for collections. - Partner with internal teams to support collection efforts and improve processes. - Collaborate with the Revenue Receivable Supervisor to identify operational inefficiencies and implement best practices. - Train new accounts receivable personnel to ensure seamless onboarding. - Prepare daily financial reports and track state-specific lien filing requirements for outstanding invoices. - Process incoming payments, including checks and credit card transactions, using internal software. - Maintain confidentiality while organizing and managing employer and business records. Requirements - Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred. - Five or more years of experience in accounts receivable handling commercial accounts. - Familiarity with accounting principles and practices is a plus. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with automated accounting systems. - Strong customer service skills and ability to manage high-value corporate accounts. - Excellent organizational abilities, attention to detail, and multitasking skills. - Effective written and verbal communication skills. - Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines.
