Staff Product Designer, Provider Sourced Patients
Headway 4.0
San Francisco, CA job
Headway's mission is a big one - to build a new mental health care system everyone can access. We've built technology that helps people find great therapists with the first software-enabled national network of providers accepting insurance.
1 in 4 people in the US have a treatable mental health condition, but the majority of providers don't accept insurance, making therapy too expensive for most people. Headway is building a new mental healthcare system that everyone can access by making it easy for therapists to accept insurance and scale their practice.
Headway was founded in 2019. Since then, we've grown into a diverse, national network of over 60,000 mental healthcare providers across all 50 states who run their practice on our software and have served over 1 million patients. We're a Series D company with over $325m in funding from a16z (Andreessen Horowitz), Accel, GV (formerly Google Ventures), Spark Capital, Thrive Capital, Forerunner Ventures and Health Care Service Corporation.
We want your time here to be the most meaningful experience of your career. Join us, and help change mental healthcare for the better.
About the role:
Provider-sourced patients represent 80% of new monthly patients on Headway-yet we've built relatively little product to support how providers find, add, convert, and retain these patients. This is a company-wide priority with visibility at the highest levels including our CEO, representing one of our largest opportunities for growth and impact.
As a Staff Product Designer for Provider Sourced Patients, you'll be the design anchor for a new pod focused on this critical challenge. You'll lead the design vision and execution across the full provider-sourced patient journey-from helping providers market their practice and find prospects, to designing the flows that add patients to Headway, to optimizing conversion and retention.
You'll kick off your tenure with a comprehensive design sprint in Q1 2026, consolidating fragmented organizational knowledge and building shared conviction around where to invest.
What makes this unique: You'll need to understand diverse provider segments-practice starters vs. veterans, therapists vs. prescribers, solo vs. groups-each with different patient sourcing needs and behaviors. The spike we're looking for is designing for segmentation at scale + systems thinking: creating solutions that flex to serve unique segment needs while maintaining a coherent, unified Headway experience-knowing when to personalize and when to unify. You'll operate with high autonomy and ownership, presenting regularly to executive leadership including our CEO and making bold recommendations backed by clear rationale.
In this role, you'll:
Own the design vision and lead formative strategic and design sprints
Lead design across the full PSP journey: how providers find prospects, add them to Headway, convert them to active patients, and retain them long-term
Partner to run a comprehensive sprint consolidating organizational knowledge and validating opportunities
Design solutions that flex across diverse provider segments while maintaining system coherence
Conduct research, develop concept prototypes spanning near and far horizons, and build cross-functional conviction about where to invest
Build systems, collaborate strategically, and mentor
Connect the dots across all of provider experience-designing solutions that span multiple touchpoints when needed
Create reusable patterns for segmented experiences and contribute to our design system (Helix)
Work across Patient, Insurance, Payer, and Network Quality teams to coordinate on shared surfaces and dependencies
Present regularly to executive leadership including the CEO, articulating design strategy in terms of business impact
Mentor other designers and model effective cross-functional partnership
You'll be a great fit if you:
Have deep experience with complex systems and strong research skills
8+ years as a product designer, with experience designing for diverse user segments or complex product ecosystems
You can develop coherent experience visions that span multiple surfaces and user journeys
You know how to run generative research, synthesize across segments, and translate insights into design strategy
You're comfortable with ambiguity and can structure complex problem spaces
Combine craft excellence with pragmatic execution
Your visual and interaction design work demonstrates strong craft and attention to detail
You know when to invest in high-fidelity design and when to sketch to learn
You can scope work appropriately-distinguishing between shovel-ready projects and directional explorations
Navigate organizational complexity with executive presence and accountability
You're comfortable presenting to executive leadership including the CEO, articulating design in terms of business impact
You demonstrate strong ownership and operate with autonomy-you're a self-directed driver who takes initiative
You build strong partnerships across functions and can influence without authority
You feel accountable to the entire provider experience, not just your pod-you're willing to push on and help drive work across the full provider journey when it's needed
Care deeply about the mission
You're motivated by work that expands access to mental healthcare
You want to build products that make it easier for providers to do their best work while maintaining quality and trust
Compensation & Benefits:
The expected base pay range for this position is $215,900 - $254,000, based on a variety of factors including qualifications, experience, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for performance-based variable compensation and an equity grant, depending on the position and level.
We are committed to offering a comprehensive and competitive total rewards package, including robust health and wellness benefits, retirement savings, and meaningful ownership opportunities through equity. Compensation decisions are made holistically, ensuring fairness and alignment with market benchmarks while recognizing individual contributions and potential.
Benefits offered include:
Equity compensation
Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage
HSA / FSA
401K
Work-from-Home Stipend
Therapy Reimbursement
16-week parental leave for eligible employees
Carrot Fertility annual reimbursement and membership
13 paid holidays each year as well as a Holiday Break during the week between December 25th and December 31st
Flexible PTO

#LI-RJ1
We believe a team's strength is in its people, and we cannot achieve this mission without a team that reflects the diversity of this problem - across race, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, age, national origin, religion, family status, disability, military status, and experience.
Headway is committed to the full inclusion of all qualified individuals. As part of this commitment, Headway will ensure that persons with disabilities are provided with reasonable accommodations. Senior Software Engineer (Trust Foundations)
About this role:
Building for trust is non‑negotiable in our mission of making mental healthcare more accessible and affordable across the US: patients share sensitive information, payers demand demonstrably strong controls, and providers depend on reliable, secure infrastructure. Trust Foundations is responsible for instilling confidence in our products by safeguarding our user's data. We achieve this by developing out-of-the-box identity, access, and secure-data platforms for other engineering teams to utilize. Our mission is to make the most secure path the most efficient path, enabling clinicians, patients, and payers to trust Headway implicitly.
This team is growing and we are hiring for
multiple roles
at both mid/senior levels. As a Software Engineer/Senior Software Engineer on our Trust Foundations team, you'll write production code every day while shaping the long‑term vision for trust at Headway. You will translate open standards - OAuth 2.0 / OIDC, RBAC/ABAC, envelope encryption - into scalable building blocks; embed privacy‑by‑design and reliability principles into everything we build; and mentor engineers across the company in Trust first thinking.
What you'll do here:
Design, build, and operate core trust primitives - authentication providers, authorization engines, stratified encrypted data stores, and tamper‑evident telemetry.
Embed security & privacy by design - Codify guardrails in linting rules and CI, and partner with Legal / Compliance to translate regulatory language into concrete engineering controls.
Scale our identity rails - Design and evolve multi‑tenant authentication & authorization services that handle millions of sessions daily with high availability expectations.
Deliver scalable, secure platform foundations - Build shared services that embed security‑by‑default (least‑privilege access, encryption in transit and at rest, audit hooks) and expose intuitive APIs so product teams can move quickly without compromising trust.
Turn ambiguous requirements into incremental delivery plans - Lead architecture reviews; break large problems into testable milestones; and make pragmatic build‑vs‑buy decisions in a regulated domain.
Champion operational excellence - Instrument services, tune alerting, own on‑call runbooks, and drive post‑incident hardening.
Elevate engineering culture - Mentor teammates, document patterns, and help recruit the next generation of Headway engineers.
What will make you successful in this role:
5 + years of professional software engineering with a strong command of at least one modern language (we use Python 3 and TypeScript).
Proven systems‑architecture leadership - you have shaped requirements, led cross‑team roadmaps, and delivered complex backend or platform services at scale.
Deep expertise in one of two focus areas:
Identity and Access - demonstrated experience working with third party IdPs, expertise with OAuth 2.0 / OIDC standards, have implemented step‑up MFA and common RBAC frameworks.
Platform Engineering (scalable, secure foundations) - demonstrated experience building high‑throughput, fault‑tolerant services that bake in security‑by‑default patterns, provide clear developer interfaces, and enable downstream teams to move faster.
A track record of mentoring engineers, elevating design quality, and improving engineering processes.
Sound build‑vs‑buy judgment and the ability to collaborate with product, legal, and operations in a highly regulated environment.
About Engineering at headway:
Building a new mental healthcare system at Headway is only possible because of the scale and leverage that software can provide. The engineering team at Headway is a small but mighty team using technology to build that future (and have a fun time while doing it!).
Principles that guide us:
Focus on the mission - We view software as a means of effecting change in the world, not as an end unto itself. We write software to empower our patients and therapist to better solve the problems they're facing.
Ship small, learn fast - We are building new and novel products and believe that we learn what our users need by quickly shipping and iteration.
Everything is a product - Whether it's our patient search experience or a developer productivity improvement, we treat everything we build at Headway as a product with end-users in mind.
Optimize for trust - We believe that engineers should be continually learning. To learn effectively and to be productive, engineers must feel safe asking questions and discussing mistakes.
Tools we use:
Languages: Python 3, TypeScript
Libraries & Frameworks: FastAPI, SQLAlchemy, React, Remix, Next.js

Head of Engineering (Platform)
There is a lot that we're building at Headway, but ensuring that our underlying systems behind our insurance platform reliably power patient, provider, and payer (insurance customer) experiences is mission critical in our efforts to make mental healthcare more accessible and affordable for everyone. As Head of Engineering for the Platform Group (also know as our Insurance Group), you'll be the first hire in a new altitude of leadership, inheriting a strong, growing set of engineering pods that deliver critical systems behind benefits and eligibility services, claims, billing infrastructure, payments, and customer support tooling. Your mandate will be to guide and scale this group as Headway grows, ensuring it continues to deliver reliable, secure, and high-impact technology at scale.
Reporting to Headway's CTO, you'll be a senior leader within our rapidly growing Engineering Org, responsible for strategic planning, organizational design, and talent development. You'll set the technical vision and operating model for the group, ensuring our systems evolve to meet the complexity and growth of our marketplace. You'll be responsible for enabling experiments, accelerating development velocity, and scaling infrastructure that supports one of the most important dimensions of our business: making insurance work seamlessly for providers, patients, and payers.
Your teams will be highly cross-functional, partnering closely with other engineering, product, design, data, customer success, growth, clinical, and other functions to understand the needs of our insurance partners and deliver solutions that redefine how mental healthcare integrates with the broader healthcare ecosystem.
Who you are:
We're looking for a platform-minded engineering executive who is relationship-obsessed, drives results, and enables teams to deliver with technical excellence. This is an exciting opportunity for a mission-aligned leader to scale one of the most critical engineering groups at Headway and make an immediate impact on the way we expand mental healthcare access.
Build the vision and roadmap for the next chapter of our Insurance Engineering group, driving company-level objectives and powering best-in-class provider, patient, and payer experiences
Contribute to the broader company strategy and technical roadmap as a member of the engineering leadership team
Partner with senior leaders across product, business, data, design, clinical, legal, and compliance to ensure alignment on strategic goals and execution against highly impactful OKRs and KPIs
Lead and scale multiple engineering pods, ensuring process, architectural, and product alignment across the group
Develop and grow your managers and team of teams through mentorship, feedback, and career development frameworks
Recruit and build diverse, high-performing engineering teams that thrive on collaboration and technical excellence
Shape engineering culture, process, and operating norms as Headway grows from 150 to 250+ engineers in the coming year
Below are additional experiences we think help engineering leaders succeed at Headway:
You have 8+ years of experience as an engineering leader, including managing engineering directors/managers, with a track record of building and scaling high-performing organizations that deliver business impact through technical innovation
You have previous experience as a Software Engineer, and a strong technical foundation that allows you to guide and challenge technical decisions
You are able to see things at a 300-ft view, while also diving deep into highly technical challenges that affect scale, reliability, and user experience
You have a strong product mindset, having built cross-functional relationships that build trust and enable great user experiences
You have a passion for building resilient, scalable platforms that unlock growth in new product areas
It's a nice to have if you've had experience in health tech or with complex platform domains such as insurance, payments, or billing
BS, MS in Computer Science or related field

Patients are at the center of Headway's mission - and analytics plays a critical role in how we serve them. As the Director of Patient Analytics, you will lead the analytics organization that helps Headway build an extraordinarily successful consumer brand and patient marketplace, with a relentless focus on measurable growth and patient impact. You will be the analytics peer to senior leaders across Product, Growth Marketing, Operations, Finance, and Clinical, and you will set the standards and direction for how we evaluate acquisition, conversion, retention, and outcomes. This is a senior leadership role for a driver who can turn ambiguity into clarity, build a high-performing team, and create the insight engine that makes a consumer healthcare business win.
In this role, you will: Shape a world-class patient product experience
Partner with product, engineering, and operations to deeply understand the patient journey and identify the highest-leverage opportunities to improve discovery, conversion, and cures.
Lead the analytics approach for product changes: clarify goals, define success metrics and guardrails, diagnose trade-offs, and ensure learnings drive roadmap decisions.
Build strong segmentation and cohort understanding to explain who we serve best, where drop-offs happen, and what experiences drive long-term value.
Build the patient growth and marketing analytics engine
Own the analytics strategy for consumer acquisition and performance marketing, ensuring we can evaluate channel effectiveness, creative performance, conversion quality, CAC efficiency, and incrementality.
Partner with Growth Marketing and Finance to improve budget allocation decisions through clear measurement, forecasting inputs, and crisp performance narratives.
Establish an operating cadence that makes marketing performance, funnel health, and unit economics legible to leaders, and turns weekly learning into action.
Run a high-velocity learning system
Establish a rigorous experimentation culture across marketing and product, including clear hypotheses, fast iteration loops, strong guardrails, and decision-oriented readouts.
Create repeatable “insight to action” mechanisms: standardized deep dives, performance narratives, and decision memos that accelerate leadership alignment.
Scale an elite team
Lead, coach, and develop a team of data scientists and data science managers; set clear expectations for ownership, communication, and impact.
Recruit and retain world-class talent and build an org structure that scales from 6 - 8 people to roughly double that size through 2026.
Build strong managers and tech leads, and create a culture that is rigorous, curious, and relentlessly focused on business outcomes.
Own standards for truth and clarity
Define and enforce metric standards across the patient funnel so teams align on what matters and can confidently compare performance over time.
Ensure stakeholders have trustworthy self-serve reporting and clear definitions, minimizing time spent debating numbers.
Marketing analytics priorities (core to the role)
Performance marketing measurement: channel performance, creative learning, funnel conversion, landing experiences, and attribution.
Incrementally and causal measurement: designing tests and analyses that distinguish correlation from true impact.
Budget and efficiency narratives: CAC, payback, cohort quality, saturation effects, and marginal ROI.
Growth diagnostics: identifying why performance changed, what levers matter, and what actions will improve results.
You'll be a great fit if:
You have 10+ years of experience in analytics, growth analytics, marketing analytics, product analytics, or data-driven strategy, including 6+ years leading and scaling teams.
You have built analytics that materially improved consumer growth outcomes: acquisition efficiency, conversion, retention, and product-led expansion.
You have strong marketing analytics instincts and can partner credibly with Growth leaders on channels, creative, attribution, and incrementality.
You can translate messy consumer journeys into clear metrics, crisp narratives, and high-quality decisions, without slowing teams down.
You are an exceptional leader and coach with a track record of hiring world-class talent and building high-performance teams.
You bring intellectual honesty and strong judgment, and you can push back when measurement is weak or narratives are wrong.
You have deep expertise in experimentation design, statistical inference, and causal methods such as CUPED, diff-in-diff, synthetic controls, or propensity modeling
Experience partnering cross functionally to drive measurable improvements in user experience or product performance
Comfort with ambiguity and a bias toward action, clarity, and iteration
You are motivated to advance Headway's mission to make mental healthcare more accessible and affordable across the United States
Compensation & Benefits:
The expected starting base pay for this position can range from $255,000 to $350,000, based on a variety of factors including qualifications and experience. Senior Product Designer, Provider Growth
At Headway, our network is our competitive advantage. We're building the largest national network of therapists and prescribers who accept insurance-currently over 60,000 active providers and growing. The more providers we activate, the more patients we can serve, and the greater our impact on mental healthcare access.
As a Senior Product Designer for Provider Acquisition, you'll own the design of our top-of-funnel experiences-the landing pages, lead forms, and acquisition flows that turn interested providers into qualified leads. This is high-leverage growth work: small improvements in conversion can translate to thousands of additional providers joining our network and tens of thousands more patients getting access to care.
You'll be embedded in a new pod focused exclusively on acquisition, working closely with product marketing, engineering, and data to rapidly test, learn, and optimize.
What makes this unique:
This is traditional growth design work in a mission-driven context. You'll need to balance the craft and polish of consumer product design with the velocity and experimentation mindset of a high-performing growth team. Success means being energized by metrics, comfortable with rapid iteration, and excited to see how a color change, copy tweak, or form redesign impacts conversion rates. You'll ship variations weekly, analyze results, and continuously refine-all while maintaining design quality that makes providers feel confident choosing Headway.
In this role, you'll:
Own the design of provider acquisition experiences
Lead design for landing pages across different segments (therapists, prescribers, group practices) and states
Design and optimize lead forms to maximize submission rates while capturing the information we need
Create compelling visual design and messaging that resonates with providers and drives action
Design re-engagement campaigns for the ~150K providers who've previously shown interest but haven't completed signup
Drive growth through rapid experimentation
Run continuous A/B tests and experiments to improve conversion at every step of the acquisition funnel
Work closely with data and product marketing to identify opportunities, form hypotheses, and validate results
Move fast-shipping multiple experiments per week when needed-while maintaining design quality
Develop an intuition for what works through constant learning and iteration
Collaborate deeply with cross-functional partners
Partner with product marketing on messaging, positioning, and campaign strategy
Work with engineering to build experimentation infrastructure and ensure designs are shippable quickly
Collaborate with data to understand user behavior, set success metrics, and analyze experiment results
Coordinate with the growth marketing team on channel-specific needs and campaign launches
Bring consumer product craft to growth work
Apply strong visual design skills to create landing pages that feel polished and trustworthy
Design interactions that reduce friction and guide providers smoothly toward conversion
Develop mobile-optimized experiences (80% of our traffic is mobile)
Balance aesthetic quality with performance-knowing when a design is "good enough" to ship and learn from
Contribute to design systems and team practices
Build reusable components and patterns for landing pages and forms in our design system (Helix)
Document learnings from experiments to build institutional knowledge
Help evolve our experimentation practice and tooling as the team scales
You'll be a great fit if you:
Have strong product design experience with a growth focus
5-8 years as a product designer, with 3+ years working on growth, acquisition, or conversion-focused teams
You've shipped high-performing consumer-facing web experiences and can show measurable impact
You understand landing page optimization, form design, and conversion funnel psychology
Combine craft with velocity
Your visual and interaction design work is polished and professional
You can move fast without sacrificing quality-you know when to obsess over details and when to ship and iterate
You're comfortable with ambiguity and can scope work appropriately for rapid learning
Are metrics-driven and experiment-minded
You get excited by data and love seeing how design changes impact conversion rates
You can form hypotheses, design tests, and interpret results to inform your next iteration
You understand statistical significance and can work with data partners to validate findings
Have consumer product sensibility
You know how to make digital experiences feel compelling, trustworthy, and easy to use
You understand visual hierarchy, persuasive design, and how to reduce friction
You can adapt your design approach for different audiences (e.g., therapists vs. prescribers vs. group practices)
Collaborate effectively across functions
You work well with product marketing and can translate marketing goals into design solutions
You partner effectively with engineers to build experimentation capabilities
You communicate clearly and can advocate for design decisions using both craft arguments and data
Care about the mission
You're motivated by work that expands access to mental healthcare

Staff Software Engineer, Frontend
About engineering at Headway
Building a new mental healthcare system at Headway is only possible because of the scale and leverage that software can provide. The engineering team at Headway is a small but mighty team using technology to build that future (and have a fun time while doing it!).
Principles that guide us:
Focus on the mission: We view software as a means of effecting change in the world, not as an end unto itself. We write software to empower our patients and therapists to better solve the problems they're facing.
Ship small, learn fast: We are building new and novel products and believe that we learn what our users need by quickly shipping and iteration
Everything is a product: Whether it's our patient search experience or a developer productivity improvement, we treat everything we build at Headway as a product with end-users in mind.
Optimize for trust: We believe that engineers should be continually learning. To learn effectively and to be productive, engineers must feel safe asking questions and discussing mistakes.
Tools we use:
Languages: Python 3, TypeScript
Libraries & Frameworks: FastAPI, React, Remix, Next.js, React Aria
Infrastructure: AWS (Fargate, ECS, S3, and more), Spark and Kafka
Monitoring: Datadog, PagerDuty, Sentry
Version Control: Github, PagerDuty
The role:
The Staff Frontend Engineer on the Patient team will play a central role in shaping the future of the patient experience at Headway. You will architect the patient application to deliver magical, intuitive, and performant user experiences while driving the most complex and impactful frontend projects for Headway's most important audience: patients.
In this role, you will:
Scope and lead proof-of-concept experiences such as conversational AI, mobile-first web apps, experimental matching flows, and tools that guide patients through their care journey.
Set the standard for frontend excellence by defining reusable component patterns, testing strategies, accessibility practices, and close integration with our design system.
Partner deeply with product and design to shape zero-to-one patient experiences that balance usability, scalability, and speed.
Push the boundaries of what a web application can do by focusing on performance, responsiveness, and cross-device experience.
This is a high-impact, fast-moving role in one of the most direct user-facing areas of the company.
Who you are
We're looking for experienced frontend engineers who thrive in ambiguity, care deeply about user experience, and can push both the craft and impact of engineering forward.
For all engineers:
Experience working on modern web applications with React or similar frameworks.
Strong understanding of at least one programming language, with depth in JavaScript/TypeScript and comfortability with others
Shaped work to achieve company and team goals
Flexed into new technical and non-technical areas as projects require
Committed team member supporting the growth of those around them
For staff engineers:
Architected complex systems spanning multiple technical domains or product areas (e.g. large-scale React applications, design system evolution, or performance-critical user flows
Driven technical vision and strategy at the organization level, by writing and reviewing technical design documents and participating in quarterly planning activities
Established frontend standards and best practices across multiple teams
Led major technical initiatives requiring coordination across product, design, and engineering
Mentored senior engineers and technical leaders, raising the bar for frontend craft and impact
Our interview process
After you apply to Headway, here are some details of what to expect during the interview process.
Initial screen: You'll connect with someone in recruiting so you can learn more about the team, Headway's mission and exciting growth, and we can get a better idea of your background.
First round: You'll meet with an engineer on the team to do some live coding and learn more about the engineering team.
Final rounds: You'll meet several more team members for technical and non-technical interviews and leave with a fuller picture of what it's like to work at Headway.
References and the Offer: Our favorite part of the process! We'll send over all of the details, including specifics on employee equity, and congratulatory messages from excited future team members!

Staff Product Designer, Provider
About the Role
At Headway, trust is foundational. Patients trust us to connect them with quality providers. Providers trust us to handle the complexity of insurance. And payers trust us to maintain clinical and coding integrity across our entire network.
As a Staff Product Designer for Provider, you'll be the design anchor for a new pod focused on building the infrastructure that upholds this trust. You'll lead the design vision and execution for how we support clinical excellence, ensure coding accuracy, and provide meaningful feedback to providers-all while maintaining the provider experience that makes Headway different.
This role sits at the intersection of complex regulatory requirements, operational scale, and provider experience. You'll design systems that handle hundreds of clinical reviews, support thousands of provider interactions, and deliver feedback that helps providers continuously improve and elevate their practice.
What makes this unique: You'll need to hold multiple mental models simultaneously (clinical standards, operational workflows, provider experience, payer requirements) and design systems that serve all of them without compromise. The spike we're looking for is domain fluency + systems thinking-the ability to become fluent in clinical standards and review processes to design solutions that actually work under real-world constraints. This is about finding clarity in constraint, designing operational systems that feel humane and supportive, and understanding that "the user" is the entire ecosystem.
In this role, you'll:
Own the design vision and deliver high-craft solutions
Lead design across clinical review infrastructure, provider feedback systems, and coding accuracy tools
Translate dense regulatory requirements and clinical standards into intuitive, human-centered experiences that make complex requirements feel manageable
Design for multiple audiences: internal operations teams, providers receiving feedback, and payers evaluating our network
Define the experience vision for supportive education and improvement flows that help providers elevate their practice
Establish and maintain a high bar for visual and interaction design that makes systems feel approachable and helpful
Build systems, partner strategically, and mentor
Develop reusable patterns for complex workflows and contribute to our design system (Helix)
Work deeply with product, engineering, clinical operations, and standards teams
Connect the dots across all of provider experience-designing solutions that span multiple touchpoints when needed
Collaborate with provider experience designers to ensure feedback systems feel genuinely supportive and educational
Mentor other designers and model effective cross-functional partnership
You'll be a great fit if you:
Have deep experience building complex systems with strong craft
8+ years as a product designer, with experience designing for operational tools, regulated workflows, or multi-sided platforms
You've shipped products that balance competing constraints-user needs, business requirements, regulatory obligations
Your visual and interaction design work is polished and precise
You know that good craft isn't decorative-it's the grammar that makes complex systems understandable and usable
Thrive in complexity and ambiguity
You're comfortable with incomplete requirements and use design to help clarify and define the problem
You can scope work appropriately, knowing when to prototype quickly and when to invest in thorough exploration
You balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution-you can develop the vision and then roll up your sleeves to execute it
Collaborate effectively with accountability beyond your pod
You work well with cross-functional partners and can translate between different disciplines
You communicate clearly in writing, in design artifacts, and in conversation
You feel accountable to the entire provider experience, not just your pod-you're willing to push on and help drive work across the full provider journey when it's needed
Care about the mission
You're motivated by work that has real impact on people's access to healthcare
You want to help build systems that make it easier for providers to do their best work while meeting the standards that keep patients safe
Compensation & Benefits:
The expected base pay range for this position is $215,900 - $254,000, based on a variety of factors including qualifications, experience, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for performance-based variable compensation and an equity grant, depending on the position and level.
