Job Description
The Customer Service Account Specialist will help coordinate production of printed materials, or print-related services for the company's customers. He/She will maintain positive customer relations through active engagement of the customer through all stages of the manufacturing process from initial contact through final disposition of the customer's product.
Responsibilities:
* Engage customers to gather job requirements and translate customer requirements in to detailed manufacturing/kitting instructions and shipping/postal instructions for disposition of the customers & products.
* May make suggestions to customers regarding workflow/process improvements to proposed jobs to maximize the benefits to both the customer and the company.
* Provide quality review for other Print Production Specialists to ensure all information is accounted for and accurate before the commencement of production.
* Ensure job instructions are entered and verified in the various manufacturing systems and queued in to the production schedule.
* Confer with customers throughout production to keep them informed of the status of jobs, solicit additional information needed for current jobs, and coordinate changes to jobs.
* May forward/review proofs with customer, obtain approval of materials, such as artwork, color separations, or ink samples.
* Coordinate production of components with other internal plants and/or external vendors as required.
* Coordinate the resolution of customer or manufacturing issues with customer jobs. Engage appropriate departments to verify the issue and determine the root cause.
* May make recommendations to management on the appropriate responses to issues that are in the best interest of the customer and the company.
* Communicate with customers regarding the resolution of issues.
* May provide pre-sales support with customers and discuss the manufacturing capabilities and requirements needed to produce a successful job.
* Monitor progress of jobs throughout production, confer with manufacturing operations on counts and final runs and ensure the final product meets customer requirements and company standards.
* Tally the final production runs and work performed to assemble paperwork for billing purposes.
* May mentor junior level Print Production staff or work on special projects.
Business Unit/Platform Specific duties
* May have responsibility for determining the supplies and paper needed for jobs including the use of vendors to supply components of the customer product.
* May assist sales in the RFP process by supplying estimates and determining how to efficiently process a complete job.
* May have responsibility for the composition and/or copy prep of the customers & products.
* Performs other related duties and participates in special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
* HS diploma or equivalent with 5+ years of relevant administrative/operational support in manufacturing operations or office environment directly related to the duties of the job.
* Prior experience in customer service is required.
* Able to consistently apply applicable policies, procedures, regulations, and program objectives when carrying out the duties of the job.
* Must have strong knowledge of technology; such as MS Office or MAC word processing, spreadsheets, or other programs specific to the job in order to complete job duties successfully.
* Experience with Google Suite is preferred.
* Must have excellent oral and written communication skills to communicate effectively across departments when completing assignments.
* Must have strong organizational skills with the ability to manage deadlines and prioritize workload and make adjustments to meet business needs.
* Must be able to work weekends and holidays as needed.
Additional Information
The national pay range for this role is $48,000 to $70,100/ year. The pay range may be slightly lower or higher based on the geographic location of the hired employee. The actual pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift and location. In addition to base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include participation in a bonus, commission or incentive program. Job Summary
The Quality Manager will oversee the implementation, maintenance and continuous improvement of the site Quality Management System and Quality Metrics performance. He/She will work with site management and personnel to plan, develop, implement and continually improve site relevant QMS requirements, and to ensure sustainable compliance to customer, regulatory and RR Donnelley QMS requirements.
Responsibilities
* Provides ongoing leadership and support in maintaining and continually improving of site Quality Management System (QMS) and processes inclusive of food safety / contact & Medical Device / Pharma GMP's, as required.
* Ensures that site QMS is in compliance with RRD QMS requirements, including Quality Task Tracker and Quality Metrics reporting.
* Coordinates activities to maintain relevant Quality System requirements such as ISO 9001:2008, GMP (21 CFR Part 820), etc., including preparing for and scheduling annual certification compliance audits.
* Informs site Management of significant or potentially significant quality issues, and facilitates effective root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions to reduce or eliminate errors.
* Monitors and measures trends in QMS processes, including GMP Quality Metrics.
* Evaluates the effectiveness of relevant site QMS processes (such as ISO 9001:2008, GMP (21 CFR Part 820)) through internal audits and the evaluation of site Quality Metrics data.
* Collects and submits quality task tracker and quality metrics data for the site, on a monthly basis, and issues a report to the Platform Quality Lead
* Interacts with customers and assists with quality related responses to RFP's/RFI's for the site.
* Reviews relevant GMP documents for compliance to company SOPs, quality systems, and regulatory requirements.
* Leads and manages ongoing internal process verification audits throughout year.
* Provides leadership and direction to quality department employees.
* Ensures all deviation investigations are appropriately investigated and recorded.
* Drives CAPA items to complete and timely completion.
* Participates in other activities, as deemed appropriate.
Qualifications
Education
Minimum: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree in Related Field
Preferred: Graduate Degree in Related Field
Years of Experience
Minimum 5+ years related work experience including a minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience.
Skills and Certifications
* Advanced training or experience in cGMPs, and ISO required.
* Ability to understand and interpret federal regulations and company operating procedures as they apply to printing regulated product and quality issue..
* Must be able to prioritize and multi-task with minimal supervision.
* Knowledge of PC systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) required.

* Comprehensive knowledge of machinability of different paper weights, sizes, kinds and colors so as to be able to identify paper conditions (i.e. excessive moisture or curling that frequently requires additional machine adjustment)
* Ability to use the full range of standard and specialized tools and devices to adjust and maintain the functional accuracy and operating conditions of the bindery machines
* Skill in making difficult adjustments to powered machines using hand tools (i.e. wrenches, screwdrivers, punches, knives) as well as more specialized hand tools, usually furnished by the machine manufacturer
* Skill in operating complicated bindery equipment such as folders, cutters, collators, stitchers, drills, binding/gluing machines
* Ability to read and interpret written work which indicates the number and sequence of machine operations required to complete the work and maintain dimensional accuracy in accordance with instructions provided

Job Description
Shift: 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM
Starting Pay Range: $17.50/hr - $19.00/hr + $2/hr Shift Differential
* Set up, adjust and operate a variety of auxiliary binding machines containing several cutting heads, control surfaces or other attachments (i.e. inkjet and mailing devices, case making & decorating equipment, folders, cutters, collators, stitchers, drills, binding/gluing machines)
* Set up automatic bindery machines containing multiple functions and station capabilities (power paper cutters, power collators and gatherers, power folders, power speed binder) which can be electromechanically combined with other equipment and devices to produce a complete bindery and finishing unit that processes printed sheets into final books, catalogs, manuals, directories, magazines or other completed products
* Inspect equipment for safety issues
* May operate automatic adhesive binding machines (perfect binders) that contain numerous interrelated process stations that are fed collated sheets or signatures and perform such functions as vibrating, milling, roughening, gluing, covering and delivering or stacking completed books, magazines or catalogs
* Make needed adjustments to coordinate the multiple work stations on a single machine
* Direct crew though all aspects of production
* Monitor quality, output and productivity
Qualifications
* Ability to read and interpret written work orders or other job specifications containing bindery requirements which indicate the number and sequence of machine operations required to complete the work and to maintain dimensional accuracy in accordance with instructions provided; independently makes decisions on the type of equipment to be used
* Must be able to calculate distances, clearances, and fits in combining machines
* Skill in using the full range of standard and specialized tools and devices to adjust and maintain the functional accuracy and operating conditions of the bindery machines
* General knowledge of the more complex bindery machines (i.e. fully automatic binding machines (perfect binders), multiple station collators and multiple folding units, either individually or combined) to perform the full range of standard and specialized folds of printed materials
* Thorough knowledge of the set up, operating requirements, procedures, capabilities and limitations of one or more bindery machines to perform the full range of standard and specialized folding, collating and cutting of printed materials to complete a combined finishing product
* Knowledge of the quality and machining requirements of various coated and uncoated types of paper stock
* Skill in setting up and adjusting machines for finishing operations and to refine such adjustments for the weight, color, machinability and quality of paper stock being used and to prevent machining impressions on the printed materials.
Additional Information
The pay range for this role at the noted location is $17.50 to $19.00 per hour. The actual rate of pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift, and location. In addition to base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include overtime, shift differential,.
