EXPERIENCED EXCAVATOR OPERATOR Rummel Construction is seeking an experienced excavator operator. You should have experience working on and understanding cut/fill, mass excavation projects, and have the ability to work safely at all times. This is a safety sensitive position that is responsible for operating heavy construction equipment with knowledge of hazards, safety precautions, awareness, and of cut/fill operations for a variety of projects. You'll be working with scores of experienced operators who put safety first and work together to meet the day's goals. Key Duties and Responsibilities * Instill Safety as a top priority. * Support a team of construction coworkers. * Build relationships and communicate with coworkers, owners, design partners, and subcontractors. * Review and draft technical submittals such as schedules, shop drawings, work plans, etc. * Monitoring quality control, safety, and environmental programs. * Understand and assist with project layout. * Identify critical work items and procure long-lead items. * Assist with contract administration, including budget and change procedures. * Assist with material procurement, including logistics. * Work together to resolve field problems and conflicts with subcontractors, suppliers, and the workforce. * Maintaining as-built drawings & manuals. Experience, Education & Skills Preferred * Strong communication skills, both written and oral. * Good attention to detail with the ability to recognize discrepancies. * Pursuing a degree in Construction, Civil Engineering, or Construction Management, or equivalent experience. * Desire to grow and develop a career and mentor other coworkers. * Must have a valid Driver's License. . .
