What you'll do:
Assist members of the public in the admittance of their pet or stray animal, diverting intake wherever possible, through proper interviewing techniques and completion of necessary paperwork. Assess situations efficiently and assist with triaging incoming animals that may be sick, injured, or aggressive.
Accurately and reliably enter notes in the organization's electronic record keeping system objectively describing behavior and medical related concerns observed at time of admittance.
Perform euthanasia in accordance with AVMA guidelines. (Must be certified; training towards certification will be provided.) Once certified, participate in euthanasia procedures of in-house animal and owner-relinquished animals.
Humanely handle and restrain domestic animals using proper humane equipment and fear free methods/techniques.
Perform minor medical tasks such as conducting initial physical examinations, scanning for microchip presence, administering subQ vaccinations and oral general de-wormer, and performing blood draws at time of admittance.
Evaluate and assist with the behavior assessment of all incoming animals, and collaborate with various departments to ensure appropriate pathways of incoming animals.
What we're looking for:
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Minimum of one (1) year experience with animals in kennel, shelter or veterinary hospital environment required, or any equivalent combination of education and experience
Working experience in guest/customer services strongly preferred
Bilingual skills a plus, Bilingual-Spanish preferred
Must be able to handle the physical and emotional aspect of work in an animal shelter environment, including the use of euthanasia
Must obtain VACSP permit after employment
Location & Hours: Based at our Oceanside Campus. This position works 40 hours per week.
Pay: Starting range is between $22.00 - $24.25 per hour and is eligible for an hourly bilingual-Spanish premium.

What you'll do:
Receive emergency calls for service from the public; evaluate the information for possible classification as a Priority One response and dispatch Humane Officers when appropriate in accordance with established procedures.
Receive and transmit routine and emergency radio messages with officers in the field and maintain radio contact with officers on assignments. Upon request of the Humane Officer, take action in support of activities taking place in the field.
Receive non-emergency calls from the public and provide general informational responses about SDHS operations.
Maintain the Shelter Buddy database, Computer Aided Dispatch database and other records systems in support of calls for service. Document facts accurately, legibly, and completely during multiple call situations.
Serve as part of any major emergency response by coordinating increased radio and telephone traffic and providing detailed information to citizens, public safety organizations and others on SDHS responses.
What we're looking for:
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Requires minimum of one (1) year paid experience in the field of customer service handling high-pressure situations in-person or over the phone
Advanced training and/or instruction in field of customer service and experience with heavy incoming call volume preferred
Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to work effectively with a team in a fast-paced and at times stressful environment is essential

About the General Counsel's Office
The General Counsel's Office is responsible for providing timely, coordinated, and thoughtful legal advice that is grounded in applicable laws and tailored to the foundation's programmatic needs, enhancing its ability to achieve its charitable goals. This will include reviewing and negotiating technology contracts; serving as the primary legal partner for the Information Technology (IT) and Facilities Operations departments; supporting technology projects to improve the processing of grants and contracts; providing thought leadership within the Foundation and within the nonprofit sector on legal issues related to technology, particularly AI; and leading/advising on projects to keep the Foundation's policies and procedures up to date with the law and best practices.
This lawyer should have corporate transactional experience at law firm(s), and specific experience advising on data privacy, intellectual property, cyber security and/or AI. Experience with the nonprofit sector is preferred, and experience working in‑house is desirable but not required. Strong interpersonal, communications, and client service skills are extremely important, as are abilities to prioritize and balance projects with differing issue areas and stakeholders. Support for IT and Facilities Operations

POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for leading bass and string sectionals for YOLA at Heart of LA, a joint venture of the Los Angeles Philharmonic and Heart of Los Angeles (HOLA). He/she/they will ensure the highest musical experience for YOLA at Heart of LA, create curriculum and pedagogy in collaboration with other YOLA at Heart of LA music faculty, and support each child holistically. He/she/they will support the Heart of LA philosophy and community as a part of YOLA at Heart of LA and help facilitate community and family involvement.

About the Role
The Safe Clean Water Program Associate Specialist is a key member of Heal the Bay's Safe Clean Water Program (SCWP) Team, supporting community education and engagement throughout the Central and South Santa Monica Bay Watershed areas. Job Overview
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Junior Staff Accountant to join our in-house accounting team. This role is central to managing accounts payable workflows across our vertically integrated platform, including property operations, construction, corporate, holding entities, and family office accounts.
The Junior Staff Accountant will also play a key role in the month-end close process, vendor coordination, and internal reporting. While this is an entry-level position, the individual will manage a remote offshore support team to assist with data entry and transactional tasks, providing an excellent opportunity to develop supervisory and process management skills early in their career.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts Payable Management (Primary Focus)
Oversee full-cycle AP for all business segments: property operations, construction projects, corporate entities, and family office.
Manage the AP calendar: ensure invoices are received, coded, and entered by weekly deadlines, and follow through on timely payment.
Review invoice coding and approvals, resolve discrepancies, and communicate with vendors and internal staff as needed.
