Conduct merchandise theft recoveries and provide theft apprehension support as needed, strictly adhering to AP policies. Prevent theft and shortage at the front of store by performing merchandise receipt checks while adhering to AP policies, as well as recognizing and communicating trends. Submit appropriate documentation in the case management system for all incidents following AP policy and procedures. Understand and appropriately use Target's video surveillance system. Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance. Work in a safe manner at all times; comply with all safety policies, best practices, and training; report hazards and correct where possible. The Asset Protection Specialist is primarily responsible for preventing financial loss caused by theft and fraud and supporting safety and environmental program compliance in their assigned store/multiple stores. The Asset Protection Specialist is primarily responsible for preventing financial loss caused by theft and fraud and supporting safety and environmental program compliance in their assigned store/multiple stores. They utilize tools to minimize loss to the Company, including but not limited to identifying incidents of theft and fraud, reviewing CCTV and exception reports, monitoring the store's physical security, auditing the Electronic Article Surveillance and driving a shrink elimination culture in the store.
