As a Test and Validation Engineer, you will play a critical role in developing and improving test processes to meet customer requirements. You will leverage your expertise to design, test, and troubleshoot complex electronic assemblies and test equipment, working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure product performance, reliability, and compliance with industry standards. This role also involves mentoring junior engineers and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
This is a second shift position which includes an 8% added pay differential.
What You Will Do
Develop Manufacturing Data Packages (MDPs), including test instructions, workflow/routing, labor standards, and tool/fixture designs.
Create and execute test plans, procedures, and strategies to validate product and system performance.
Provide technical support for manufacturing areas, including process troubleshooting, incorporating engineering changes, and maintaining test equipment.
Disposition non-conforming materials, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
Analyze test data to identify performance trends, troubleshoot issues, and ensure compliance with specifications.
Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to define test requirements and resolve technical challenges.
Drive qualification and certification efforts while ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Mentor junior engineers in test methodologies and best practices.
Present findings, test results, and recommendations to internal and external stakeholders.
Continuously improve testing processes, tools, and techniques to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Adhere to safety protocols and company policies during testing activities.
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically Requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) and minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
Experience with data acquisition systems, instrumentation, and analysis tools/software (e.g., LabVIEW, MATLAB, Python).
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Application of RF principles in areas such as radar, communication systems, or satellite systems.

Role Overview
The Infrastructure SystemsEngineer is responsible for supporting, maintaining, and optimizing the organization's server and network infrastructure environments. A successful candidate will provide hands-on technical assistance across hardware and software platforms, ensuring systems remain reliable, secure, and efficient. The engineer will work closely with the Cyclyx Technology team, supporting daily operations and implementing solutions that meet the business's practical needs. The candidate should be adept at maintaining and updating existing infrastructure, documenting processes and configurations, and responding to evolving security requirements.
Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is essential, particularly with ERP, SCADA, Business Intelligence, and warehousing systems. Familiarity with managing and supporting these platforms will enable the engineer to respond quickly to technical challenges and ensure critical systems stay available and up-to-date.
Key Responsibilities
Focus on deploying, maintaining, and updating infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and security.
Create and maintain clear documentation-including reference architectures, design specifications, and rationale-to support the team's understanding of infrastructure decisions.
Proactively recommend technology solutions that align with current business goals. Identify and address security risks, executing effective mitigation strategies.
Specify hardware and software requirements for all systems, and pursue automation and process improvements to enhance both IT and business operations.
Qualifications
Candidates should have proven experience as a Server or Network Engineer within heavy industry or manufacturing environments.
Expertise in virtualized server infrastructures is essential, including platforms such as VMware, KVM, XCP-ng, and Citrix.
A strong background in managing Layer 2 and Layer 3 multi-site networks-especially with technologies like Cisco and PicOS-is required.
Experience in managing CCTV and access control systems, particularly with Axis, Ubiquiti, and HikVision platforms.
Proficiency in supporting Azure cloud infrastructure, including Windows Server and AD/Entra administration, is important.
Additional experience with M365 services (such as Office, Exchange and Teams) administration is highly valued.
Candidates should be comfortable working in Linux environments (particularly Ubuntu) and managing both servers and desktops.
Familiarity with containerized infrastructure, including Docker, Kubernetes, and LXD, is expected.
Finally, applicants should have a track record of deploying and managing cybersecurity solutions in industrial and business settings, with experience using Fortinet products such as FortiGate, FortiAnalyser, and FortiSRA.
Education
Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or extensive industry experience.
LICENSE OR CERTIFICATE
Candidates are encouraged to possess recognized IT certifications in networking or server technologies from reputable organizations such as Microsoft, VMware, Cisco, or Fortinet.

Work Hours: Flexible, but must be available, 8:00-5:00, Monday to Friday with occasional evening and weekend work.
Location: Houston, TX
Work environment: Primarily an office environment, but may also work in an industrial environment at times where the use of PPE is required.
Travel: Minimal - Less than 10%.
