Position Summary: The Finishing Inspector is responsible for the inspection and editing of converted press product using a slitter / rewinder, finishing it into the correct format as dictated by customer specifications. The Finishing Inspector is responsible for meeting customer requirements while conforming to company standards for quality and job parameters. Essential Functions: Inspects printed products to assess and evaluate quality conformance to specifications. Discards or rejects defective product that does not conform to requirements for print quality or product functionality. Operates finishing equipment at required speed to ensure proper slitting, alignment, and roll profile. Examines job orders to determine details such as finished quantities, production times, packaging specifications, and shipping requirements. Notifies supervisors and other personnel of production problems, and assist in identifying and correcting these problems.
