2027 Plant Closure Disclaimer
In March of 2025, Perrigo announced that the current operations at our facility in Milton, VT will be migrated to our plant in Eau Claire, WI at the estimated sunset date of July 2027. However, production operations will continue for approximately the next two years, so we want to make the remaining work experience with us as compelling as possible during that time!
Perrigo is committed to offering a highly competitive severance package for employees who see this project through to completion. At the time of the plant closure, if your tenure length is at least 12 months, you would be entitled to 52 weeks (one year's worth) of base pay, bonus, and company-paid COBRA coverage for up to 1-year following your exit. For employees with less than 12 months' tenure at the time of plant closure, they will receive 36 weeks (9 months) of base pay, bonus, and COBRA coverage. The MachineOperator is responsible for running basic production machines but not limited to lathes, mills, drill presses, cut-off saws, grinders, and mechanical and isostatic presses, to efficiently produce quality ceramic components.
Essential Functions:
+ Proactively supports a culture of safety and quality as top organizational priorities.
+ Actively participates in ongoing training initiatives and collaborates with team members and leadership to share information in a structured process
+ Safely loads and unloads parts from the production machines.
+ Operates assigned machines to produce components to spec
+ Completes basic SPC and production logs as required
+ Operatesmachines to make finished product while staying focused despite the routine nature of the job
+ Checks the quality of the finished product using the tools assigned
+ Uses basic hand tools and measurement devices to verify part quality
+ Identifies non-conforming products and halts production when necessary. Keeps track of individual production by logging in/out of our MRP/Barcode system and counting completed parts
+ Reads and follows routing instructions and brings finished parts to the next department.
+ Other duties as assigned, including but not limited to, performing a variety of other machiningoperations in any one of STC's three production locations
Knowledge and Experience:
Level I
+ 0-1 years of prior machineoperator/manufacturing experience/laborer a plus, or equivalent classroom experience
+ Basic understanding of measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers) or strong math skills with the ability to learn
+ Strong attention to detail
+ Ability to follow precise written instructions and procedures
+ Willingness to learn and work independently in areas in which they are trained
+ Ability to work with computers, experience with Visual a plus
+ Ability to work under the pressure of deadlines
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work is generally performed on the shop floor, which can be noisy and dusty, as well as hot during the summer. Proper safety equipment is provided by STC where necessary.
Physical Demands:
Work involves prolonged periods of standing/sitting in one place performing redundant tasks. Deadlines, workloads during peak periods, and changing priorities may cause increased stress levels. May be required to bend and/or squat to properly inspect or run equipment. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and push hand carts loaded with up to 500 lbs.
Total Rewards
The compensation range for MachineOperator II is $36,500 to $48,700, depending on experience.
The compensation range for MachineOperator III is 41,400 $ 62,200, depending on experience.

Summary:
Sonnax manufacturing is seeking a MachineOperator to work with an experienced team in a dynamic and action-oriented Continuous Improvement environment. This position will be responsible for the set up and operation of manual and semi-CNC machinery to produce parts to print specifications for the automotive aftermarket. Machines may include Parts Washer, Bonding, Broach, Induction Heat Treat, Stud Welder, Sand Blaster and Gear Shapers. An ideal candidate for this role should pay strong attention to detail, is committed to workplace safety, and maintains a constant quality mindset in all work.
Essential Functions/Job Responsibilities:
* Interpret engineering drawings and work instructions to understand tolerances of the parts to be machined.
* Able to interpret setup documentation to setup a variety of jobs.
* Perform quality checks and make necessary adjustments to hold dimensions and tolerances.
* Operatemachines in a safe manner to meet parts per hour production requirements.
* Take proper care of all Sonnax tools and equipment.
* Perform daily preventive maintenance, as required.
* Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
Education and/or Experience:
* High school diploma and/or GED.

Duties of the MachineOperators:
Uses machines and equipment to assist with manufacturing, while performing specialized tasks to create and produce a standard or customized product.
Performs typical machine shop and press operations.
Operates a press production, brain winding, lathe or crimping machine in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.
Read, interpret and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, manufacturing drawings, bills of material or other written instructions or procedures.
Accurately record number of parts produced both good and scrap.
Utilize hand tools such as a hand held screw driver and drill guns.
Maintain inventory of product in work stations.

Maintain accurate and timely data.
Report any safety problems, hazards, accidents and near misses to management.
Adjust machine settings as necessary to complete assigned task.
Properly use safety equipment, including machine guarding, interlocks and safety curtains are working properly or report it.
Able to troubleshoot and resolve simple quality product issues.
Meet standards and tolerances.
