Core Responsibilities
Site Preparation and Cleanup
Clean and prepare construction sites for daily activities.
Unload and load materials, supplies, and mixed concrete.
Maintain a safe and organized work area throughout the project.
Trade Support
Assist Carpenters, Operators, and other skilled workers as directed.
Provide general labor support for construction activities across multiple trades.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor to support project needs.
Tools and Equipment Operation
Operate jackhammers, earth tampers, and other hand or power tools under supervision.
Maintain tools and equipment in proper working order.
Report damaged or unsafe equipment to supervisors immediately.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Knowledge of general construction safety procedures.
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and work outdoors in varying conditions.
1-2 years of experience in construction or general labor.
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with construction tools, materials, and equipment.
OSHA 10 certification or willingness to complete training.

Title: Working Leaderman (Structural)
Job Overview: A Working Leaderman (Structural) is responsible for directing his/her workforce in the successful implementation of craft-specific activities as it relates to associated shipbuilding and/or repair functions.
Key Responsibilities:
Utilizes knowledge of the working characteristics of metallic and non-metallic materials, including the specifications of the equipment to be used in the welding process.
Performs tank testing and associated duties as required.
Experience:
At least Five (5) years of assembly/prefab structural welding/fitting experience. Prior supervision experience is preferred.
Skills and Abilities:
Basic knowledge of welding/fitting specific processes and techniques in addition to being familiar with standard marine practices and general specifications for construction.
Experience in structural fabrication and the ability to read/understand drawings is required.
Previous supervisory experience is a plus.
Must be able to communicate effectively with employees, work well with others, and have the ability to plan/schedule craft-specific work tasks.
Must have a strong focus on quality, production, safety, and environmental aspects of work being performed.
