Summary/Objective
The Shipping Clerk facilitates and coordinates the entire shipping process, including preparing records of shipments, bills of lading and records of receipt.
Essential Functions
* Verifies inventory levels for orders prior to scheduling shipping appointments.
* Prepares bills of lading for each shipment and checks and records all items loaded for shipment.
* Posts shipments to customer orders and calculates balance yet to be shipped.
* Upon completion of shipment, closes out orders and forwards document to production planning and accounting departments.
* Notifies supervisor or planning department when major discrepancies regarding quality or quantity occur.
* Coordinate daily shipment between warehouses, process warehouse transfers.
* Communicate with internal departments in regards to receiving of items into the warehouse.
* Answers incoming phone calls, reply to emails and checks in visitors.
* Checks in drivers and ensures drivers adhere to all safety policies.
* Follow good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate regulatory, food safety, and quality requirements.
* Performs other related duties as required or assigned, including work in other areas to cover absences or relief to equalize peak work periods or otherwise balance the workload

Generate pick tickets, resolve discrepancies, and complete revisions
Review customs documentation and communicate with customs brokers
Communicate with sales, revising tallies, communicating PO's with drivers, reprinting pick tickets and BOLS when necessary, printing inventory for shippers, etc.
Ensure compliance for GMPS, SOP's, policies, and procedures

Summary/Objective The Shipping Clerk facilitates and coordinates the entire shipping process, including preparing records of shipments, bills of lading and records of receipt.
Essential Functions
Verifies inventory levels for orders prior to scheduling shipping appointments.
Prepares bills of lading for each shipment and checks and records all items loaded for shipment.
Posts shipments to customer orders and calculates balance yet to be shipped.
Upon completion of shipment, closes out orders and forwards document to production planning and accounting departments.
Notifies supervisor or planning department when major discrepancies regarding quality or quantity occur.
Coordinate daily shipment between warehouses, process warehouse transfers.
Communicate with internal departments in regards to receiving of items into the warehouse.
Answers incoming phone calls, reply to emails and checks in visitors.
Checks in drivers and ensures drivers adhere to all safety policies.
Follow good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate regulatory, food safety, and quality requirements.
Performs other related duties as required or assigned, including work in other areas to cover absences or relief to equalize peak work periods or otherwise balance the workload

* Responsible for maintaining a safe work environment for all employees. * Ensure timely, accurate, and careful delivery of product from storage, production areas, loading docks, and delivery vehicles using a forklift. * Safe operation of power lift LP forklift for the purpose of handling, loading, and unloading product.
* Must be able to use computers and label printers.
* Responsible for using scanners and inventory control systems to pull orders, keep production lines supplied, and re-stock inventory racks.
* Adhere to safe work practices and ensure that product quality is maintained.
* Complete other duties as assigned.

* Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
* Good interpersonal skills are required.
* Certification is preferred at the time of hire.
* Basic knowledge and understanding of computers required.
* One (1) year of previous forklift experience preferred.
