Job Description:
Prepare honest, accurate and complete damage estimates for customers
Inspect damaged vehicles thoroughly using standard written procedures
Estimate repair costs and the anticipated time needed to complete them
Monitor repairs as they are made and track costs, labor and materials
Ensure that all work meets quality standards
Provide exceptional customer service and follow-up
Coordinate and communicate actions within the dealership and the collision center
Requirements:

In addition to a lucrative pay plan, an estimator at Anderson enjoys a job description where your main requirement is to write a great estimate. Our estimators are not responsible for regular customer updates - we have CSR's to interact with customers - and parts are ordered by parts personnel. An Estimator is expected to complete a thorough repair plan, document damages with photographs, schedule sublet vendors, organize production with technician team, balance and close tickets, and communicate any production issues with shop management. Base salary paid bi-weekly with monthly commission based on total sales generated. Expected minimum $75k with $100k+ per year very obtainable. Business hours Monday through Friday. 8am - 5pm. Not an estimator but have body shop experience? We will train the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Participate in developing a proper repair plan for each vehicle
- Prepare estimates in accordance with Insurance partner and company guidelines
- Maintain and execute a timely schedule before, during, and after completion of repairs
- Communicate updates to CSR for them to update customer
- Consult with management regarding new procedures and equipment in the industry

Shift: Full Time
Essential Duties:
- Examines damaged vehicle to determine extent of structural, body, mechanical or interior damage.
- Estimates cost of labor and parts to repair or replace each damaged item.
- Reviews repair cost estimates with body shop manager or foreman.
- Determines feasibility of repair versus replacement of parts, such as bumpers, fenders and doors.
- Evaluates practicality of repair as opposed to payment of vehicle market value before accident.
- Prepares insurance forms to indicate repair cost estimates and recommendations.
- Estimates cost of repainting, converting to special purposes or customizing undamaged vehicles.
- Other tasks as assigned.
Requirements:
- Possess a valid Body Shop Estimators license for state of PA
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills
- At least two years of Body Shop Estimating experience
- Must be capable of handling the physical aspects of the collision repair business, i.e., bending, stooping, crawling in all weather conditions, standing for long periods of time, and exposure to dust exhaust fumes and a variety of hazardous and non-hazardous materials.
- Must have a valid driver’s license with clean driving history
- Successful completion of pre-employment background checks and drug screening
