Fuse pipe (manual, hydraulic, and electro fusion). Installation of service lines. Tie-over existing services. Abandon existing services. Pressure testing (Air and nitrogen). Pipeline pigging. Complete Main line installation and tie ins. Installation of bypasses and squeeze off live gas line. Abandon existing main line. Bagging live gas line. Basic operation of mini excavator, dump truck, and forklift. Assist drill operator with locator. Change and run equipment attachments. Properly load and haul equipment and materials. Mentor and teach fellow employees. Safety related incidents and property damage will be a determining factor in moving to the next class. Willing to volunteer to work when needed will be a requirement to move to the next class. Employee call-offs will be an evaluating factor before moving to next class. A willingness to work out of town will be an evaluating factor to move to the next class. A Successful HDD Operator is specially trained and has expertise in locating for horizontal/directional drill rigs and product support equipment. This individual will be primarily responsible for setting up and completing drilling variable-sized underground boreholes and pulling back the required conduit/pipe. As a Directional Driller/Equipment Operator, you are responsible for running various directional drilling equipment; Directional Drill, (Vermeer and/or Ditch Witch) Vac.
