The successful candidate will be certified and qualified to execute the duties of Site Superintendent, Quality Control Manager (QCM), or Site Safety & Health Officer (SSHO) on Federal Government construction project sites. The role involves acting as the lead on-site representative, managing coordination efforts among federal clients, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure seamless project execution. The candidate will direct all field construction operations, driving timely completion within budget while meeting federal standards for safety and quality. Establish and uphold rigorous safety protocols in full compliance with EM 385-1-1 and OSHA regulations. Perform and document all phases of inspection-preparatory, initial, and follow-up-aligned with the USACE Three-Phase Quality Control system. Essential Skills Minimum 5 years of experience in federal construction as a Superintendent, QCM, or SSHO. Current and valid certifications in USACE Construction Quality Management (CQM). OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety and Health certification. First Aid/CPR certification. EM 385-1-1 compliance knowledge. Strong understanding of federal contracting procedures and regulations (e.g., FAR, DFARS). Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills. U.S. citizenship required with the ability to obtain security clearance as needed. Additional Skills & Qualifications Ability to travel nationwide on a full-time basis and work in remote or secure federal facilities. Experience with NAVFAC/Army Corps of Engineers projects. Experience in construction management and site safety. Work Environment Projects will be located at Great Lakes Naval Base in North Chicago. The role involves spending more than 50% of the day on feet, walking around the site to coordinate all on-site activities. A trailer will be available on-site as a workspace.
