Purpose Purpose: Performs a wide range of resource management and general maintenance activities in parks to support the implementation of the Metro Parks resource management program. Completes and maintains computerized pesticide records for the parks and keeps associated maps updated. Assists with the identification, evaluation and mapping of Metro Parks areas with concentrations of invasive species; assists with the development of a long-term plan to control efforts to control noxious vegetation and invasive species. Assists with the management and restoration of prairies including the gathering, drying, cleaning and sowing of seed. Participates in other areas of prairie management such as prescribed burning and woody species control. May plant, fertilize, prune, and transplant trees.
