This is a large and busy Radiation Oncology department located in two locations within the hospital and requires a therapist to be on call for add on or urgent cases. Call is rotated on a weekly basis among the 11 therapists. The department consists of three Linear Accelerators and two CTs. They also provide High Dose Rate Brachytherapy in the department. Delivers radiation therapy treatments as prescribed by the Radiation Oncologist. Prepares patients for a course of Radiation Therapy inclusive of simulation, dose calculations and acquiring of treatment parameters. Summary: The Procedural Care Unit sees an average of 55 cases daily, offering a fast-paced environment. PCU provides care both before and after procedures for Electrophysiology, Interventional Radiology and Cardiovascular labs. Procedures include TAVR's, ablations, biopsies, catheterizations and more. PCU is an outpatient/closed unit, there are no floating requirements. Day shift holiday requirement: Either one working holiday or one on call shift. Weekend: One 12 hour shift every 8 weeks required, either Saturday or Sunday Scheduling: 8 week set/repeating schedule allowing you to know your schedule for a better work life balance.
