    ABOUT FRANKLIN COUNTY MUNICIPAL COURT The Franklin County Municipal Court (FCMC) is the largest and busiest municipal court in the State of Ohio. The Court has fourteen judges in the General Division and one judge in the Environmental Division. Judges preside over civil, criminal, and traffic cases and conduct both jury and court trials. The Court's jurisdiction includes traffic cases, misdemeanor criminal cases, and civil cases where the amount at issue is $15,000 or less. The Environmental Division has exclusive jurisdiction to enforce local codes and regulations affecting real property, such as fire and building codes. The geographic jurisdiction of the Court is all of Franklin County and those portions of the City of Columbus that extend beyond the boundaries of Franklin County. Despite its jurisdiction and name, the Franklin County Municipal Court is the judicial branch of the City of Columbus government. JOB PURPOSE AND OVERVIEW The Franklin County Municipal Court operates a Court Security Program to maintain a safe environment for judges, employees, and all others having business in the courthouse. The Security Department currently consists of a Director of Security, Security Bailiff Supervisors, an Administrative Security Bailiff Supervisor, a Control Room Supervisor, and 19 security bailiff officers on the day shift, 5 security Bailiff officers on second shift, and a control room operator on the second and third shifts. The Court contracts with a private security company to provide the Municipal Court with additional support during evenings, weekends, and Holidays. Court Security Bailiff Officers are responsible for all security aspects of a courthouse, including ensuring that the judges and judicial staff, court employees, and general public visiting the courthouse are safe. Officers also ensure that no weapons are brought into the courthouse and that the staff and public complies with the FCMC Security and Emergency Response Procedures. Other job duties include watching entrances and exits, working at screening stations, and roaming the courthouse hallways to check for suspicious activity. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required or assigned. This role is Full-time, 1st Shift, working hours as assigned by the Director of Court Security. Daily/weekly responsibilities can include but are not limited to: * Participate in both internal and external client meetings. * System modeling, such as steady-state load flows (CYME, Synergi, Windmil, ETAP, SKM etc.) * System reliability and resiliency planning studies * Distribution system circuit analysis for loading, voltage, reactive power, contingency, coordination, and reliability * New load and generation interconnection studies * Recommends solutions and best practices for standard and non-standard situations * Perform detailed engineering analyses following standard methodology, criteria, and principles * Actively seek out and encourage identification of new technologies and work practices to reduce operational costs and/or assist in the reduction of potential safety hazards What we need you to have (minimum qualifications): * BS in Electrical Engineering from an ABET certified college or university * 5+ years of experience in electrical engineering system studies * 4+ years of experience using power flow analysis software such as CYME, Synergi, Windmil, ETAP, or other equivalent software packages * 4+ years of experience with planning, studies, and operations such as hosting capacity analysis, contingency analysis, long term capital investment studies, and model validation * Prior experience working with or within electric utilities What we would like you to have (preferred skills): * Ability to work successfully in a customer-focused, project-oriented environment * Experience forecasting load and generation growth * EIT or PE registration (or equivalent) * Familiarity with short circuit software including ASPEN, CAPE, or ETAP * Familiarity with distribution operation software such as ADMS, DERMS * Familiarity with distribution design and/or drafting in AutoCAD * Use of Python to automate functionality in power system modeling software * Familiarity of utility protection philosophy and short circuit studies * Experience with renewable energy generation facility design, such as solar, wind, or battery storage * Excellent written and verbal English communication skills including technical report writing * Familiarity with the various Independent System Operators (ISOs) such as PJM, MISO, CAISO, ERCOT, WECC, SERC, NYISO, NEISO, SPP #GEA25 #POWERDELIVERY #INDEED #LI-CC1 Working at ICF ICF is a global advisory and technology services provider, but we're not your typical consultants. The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is: $89,203.00 - $151,646.00 Nationwide Remote Office (US99)
