BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of engineering team management experience
- 7+ years of working directly within engineering teams experience
- 3+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experience
- Experience partnering with product or program management teams

What You Will Bring
BS or higher in engineering (mechanical or related) with strong grounding in mechanical design, structures, and heat transfer.
Proven track record of industrializing multiple high-quality, high-volume battery packs or modules (0.5-8 kWh+ energy range).
Exceptional first-principles mechanical engineering skills with strong analytical, modeling, and design capabilities.
Deep understanding of lithium-ion batteries, including operating principles, chemistry tradeoffs, failure modes, safety-by-design strategies, cell manufacturing, and the supplier landscape.
Hands-on experience with safety-critical design, testing, and iteration, including strategies for controlled energy release during severe failure events.
Strong experience working with contract manufacturers, including design release, documentation control, build readiness, on-site collaboration, and ramp-to-mass-production execution.
Ability to develop and industrialize advanced manufacturing processes, such as wire bonding, laser welding, adhesive dispensing, and related joining/assembly flows.
Strong understanding of battery safety and reliability qualification, including shock/vibration, environmental stress, abuse testing, and single-cell initiation methods; capable of building and interpreting test plans aligned with UL/IEC/UN regulations.
Knowledge of physics-based modeling for battery cells and packs, plus familiarity with BMS algorithm design and performance methods.

We are seeking a Staff / Principal SoftwareEngineer to provide technical leadership in building, scaling, and operating LLM-powered healthcare applications, with a strong emphasis on RAG, knowledge systems, and AI-native backend architectures.
Responsibilities:
Design, build, and evolve scalable LLM-based systems, including RAG pipelines, prompt orchestration, embedding strategies, vector search, and inference workflows.
Develop AI services that operate on healthcare and clinical data while respecting FHIR, HL7, HIPAA, and other regulatory and compliance requirements.
Partner closely with clinical, product, and data science teams to translate real-world clinical workflows
Build and maintain backend services and APIs supporting LLM inference, evaluation, observability, and lifecycle management
Establish best practices for prompt management, model versioning, human-in-the-loop workflows, and continuous improvement using feedback signals.
Act as a technical authority across teams, influencing architecture decisions and long-term platform strategy.
Mentor senior and mid-level engineers, set engineering standards, and raise the bar on system design and code quality.
Work closely with data engineering, data science, security, and product leadership to align AI capabilities with business and clinical objectives.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
7+ years of professional softwareengineering experience, with 2+ years working directly with LLM-based systems in production environments.
Hands-on experience designing and deploying RAG architectures
Strong proficiency in Python and experience with modern backend stacks
Experience working in healthtech, healthcare, life sciences, or clinical data environments, including exposure to regulated data.
Proven ability to design systems that are scalable, secure, observable, and maintainable.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience integrating LLMs with EHR data, clinical guidelines, prior authorization rules, quality measures, or real-world evidence datasets.
Familiarity with LLM evaluation tooling and frameworks
Experience with cloud-native architectures and containerized deployments

Job Summary:
Staff SoftwareEngineer, Network Services joins the Quantum Operating Systems Software team to design and build the network infrastructure and services that connect PsiQuantum's photonic quantum computers.
Architect and implement high-speed, low-latency, data center-scale network fabrics.
Develop and maintain distributed network services software supporting quantum systems.
Participate in design/code reviews and cross-team collaboration across hardware, software, and research.
Responsibilities:

Collaborate across software, hardware, and research teams at PsiQuantum.

Background in distributed systems for HPC, robotics, AI, semiconductor, or quantum environments.
