Develops and implements methods and procedures for process control, process improvement, testing and inspection to ensure that the products are free of flaws and function as designed. Designs and installs sophisticated testing equipment and performs product testing and analysis to maintain quality levels and minimize defects and failure rates, including validation. Analyzes reports and defective products to determine trends and recommend corrective actions. Collaborates with supplier representatives on quality problems, ensures that effective corrective actions are implemented and contributes to supplier quality improvement programs. PPAP experience is preferred. This is an individual contributor role that requires the use of judgement in applying professional expertise and is expected to work independently with minimal supervision. MRI Software looking for an experienced and skilled candidate to join our team as a Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer. As a QA Engineer, you will be responsible to assess software quality by designing and implementing softwaretesting processes. You will take ownership of code quality through exploratory and manual test scripts. You will hunt bugs, identify issues, report them, and see that they are dealt with.
We perceive the QA Engineer as the knowledge bank of the business domain associated with the product(s) you will be working on and shall be the main go-to person for all team members including the developers.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Automate test and log issues in various configurations on different databases and platforms of the product .
* Responsible for diagnosing minor to complex software issues.
* Experience with API testing preferred.
* Re-create defects and identify problem areas to be investigated by the Development team.
* Assist in the maintenance of a defect-tracking database of all issues raised relative to the product.
* Liaising with the development team, and product managers to provide status updates.
* Experience with Cucumber, Selenium WebDriver.
* Creation of detailed test plans, test scripts, and procedural documents from functional specs and supporting documents.
* Taking full ownership of keeping test documentation fully up to date.
* Responsible for following standards for patching fixes within multiple in-house test areas.
* Contributor to Automation Testing Framework, by creating and maintaining automation scripts to test the application.
* Increase test coverage through Web Services and/or automated UI testing.
* First and foremost, a real interest and passion for softwaretesting.
* Solid understanding of quality processes, controls, and procedures, and the SDLC

Background working in design or construction with a mechanical or BMS controls experience.
AND/OR Background working in a vendor equipment factory supporting quality control processes of mechanical equipment.

Performs Root Cause Analysis and Reporting.
Stop any production which may be questionable in terms of Food Safety and immediately alert a member of the management team.
Maintain accurate, legible records of all tests and retests performed. Complete all other required reports (work orders, action reports, etc.) in a timely manner.
Perform analytical tests required to qualify ingredient batches for production.
Perform production line checks at specified intervals.
Ensure accurate test results by maintaining proper operation and calibration of laboratory equipment.
Maintain laboratory cleanliness at all times.
Report all out of specification results to designated leadership.
Complete special projects and other reasonable duties as assigned by leadership.
Has demonstrated Tier II skills have been sustained at an acceptable level with limited supervision.
Required Skills:
Working knowledge of Excel, Word, and SAP.
Exposure to using measurement tools and equipment (e.g., calipers, micrometers, CMM machines) preferred.
Organized and detail oriented, adaptable to change.
Ability to apply statistical methods to analyze data and identify trends.
High level of precision and accuracy in inspection and testing processes.
Familiarity with ISO, Six Sigma, GMP, and other relevant standards and regulations
Understanding of Food Safety Requirements.
Able to read and understand metric system.
Prior inspection experience in a laboratory setting.

In plants co-packaging alcoholic beverages, sensory tasting must be at least 21 years old.
Working Conditions:
Work Schedule: Weekdays, weekends, afternoon, evening, and overnight may be required. Overtime scheduled as needed.
Work Environment: Operating in a fast-paced production plant with numerous moving parts. Noise levels require hearing protection and temperatures can get very hot and/or relatively cold (laboratory is temperature controlled). The environment is structured and supervised.
