Your Opportunity
We are seeking up to four (4) exceptionally talented and enthusiastic individuals with a keen interest in the natural sciences to join our team to work on one project site in west-central Ohio and one project site in northwestern Ohio. This opportunity begins in April and runs through November 2026 with possible extension for a full year or more. Field work is estimated at 40 hours per week with the possibility for overtime. Your Capabilities and Credentials
An interest in ecosystems, natural resource conservation, and the outdoors is essential.
Ability to work 5 days per week April through October.
Ability to walk ~10 miles per day.

Education and Experience
High-school diploma and Bachelor's degree required or working towards a Bachelor's degree. Preference will be shown toward a degree in an environmental discipline.
Previous experience utilizing Apple products, Field Maps, and/or Survey 123 a plus.
Must be comfortable with computers, tablets, and GPS units.
Ability to identify birds (including raptors) and bats of Ohio is preferred, but not required.
Field work will include walking long distances outdoors and will include exposure to the elements (i.e., sun, heat, cold, rain, mud, insects). Ability to lift and move items and equipment up to 50 lbs.

Core Functions
As an Environmental Technician, you will be learning in an apprentice fashion. You will play a crucial role in performing industrial and environmental cleaning by operating specialized equipment such as vac trucks, jetters, 20k blasters, pressure washers, etc. in order to clean tanks, process pipelines, lagoons, sediment ponds, perform confined space entry, fill, swap and service RNG/BIOGAS media beds, tanks and vessels and various other industrial and environmental cleaning duties that our clients require. Operating water jetting & blasting equipment to clean industrial infrastructure, various equipment and facility components.
Using Vac Truck in order to clean vessels, pits, tanks, ponds, lagoons and other various industrial & environmental facilities and their infrastructure, site cleanup, debris and sludge removal.
Perform Confined Space Entry in order to perform Tank Cleaning.
Use of hand tools.
Maintaining and cleaning equipment to ensure proper functionality and longevity.
Adhering to strict safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, masks, safety goggles, and gas meters.
Inspecting surfaces and equipment before and after cleaning to ensure quality standards are met.
Reporting maintenance needs or equipment damage to supervisors promptly.
Collaborating with maintenance teams to coordinate cleaning and blasting activities efficiently.
Assisting in training new employees on company procedures as needed.
Requirements
General Qualifications & Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
