You are the person who can help people communicate, swallow, and work to diminish or remediate disorders or deficits. In doing this, you take responsibility for the effective and efficient delivery of rehab services, you design the plan, and work with patients to execute those plans. A Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) or be eligible to participate as an ASHA Clinical Fellow. Department: Provide comprehensive evaluation for the Speech Language diagnoses for patients/residents with communication and/or swallowing deficits. Provide written reports to contracted facilities or agency and patient/ resident's physician. Establish and carry out treatment programs, which will meet the patient/resident's functional communicative/swallow needs. Interact regularly with other members of the rehabilitation team and medical staff on patient/resident's treatment plan, progress and prognosis.
