The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing speech and language therapy services to students in PreK-12 schools, helping them develop communication skills and overcome speech and language disorders. Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive assessments of students' speech, language, and communication abilities.
Develop individualized therapy plans and goals based on assessment results and students' needs.
Provide direct therapy services to students, targeting areas such as articulation, phonology, language comprehension, fluency, and pragmatic skills.
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other members of the educational team to support students' communication goals in the classroom and other educational settings.
Incorporate evidence-based techniques and therapeutic activities into therapy sessions to promote speech and language development.
Monitor students' progress and adjust therapy plans as needed to facilitate optimal outcomes.
Document therapy sessions, progress reports, and other relevant information accurately and in a timely manner.
Participate in IEP (Individualized Education Program) meetings and provide input regarding students' speech and language needs.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-LanguagePathologist.
Experience providing speech-language therapy services in a school or pediatric setting.
Proficiency in assessment tools and therapeutic techniques commonly used in pediatric speech-language pathology.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and school staff.
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Knowledge of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems and other assistive technology used in speech-language therapy (preferred).

Essential Duties
* Evaluate patients within twenty-four (24) hours, or 1 business day of physician referral. If unable to complete evaluation in 24 hours, documentation in medical record clearly defines cause for delay.
* Develop effective treatment plan and obtain approval for services from referring physician.
* Treat patients per the physician treatment plan.
* Supervise Speech-LanguagePathologist Assistants in direct patient care and patient related activities, following state practice act.
* Communicate with supervisor and other health team members regarding patient progress, problem and plans.
* Participate in Patient Care Conferences, Utilization Review meetings and Rehabilitation Conferences as needed.
* Participate in in-services training program for other staff in the facility.
* Record evaluations, daily treatment notes, weekly progress notes, recertification documentation, per Speech and LanguagePathologist in the Board State Practice Act and governmental and third party payer requirements.
* Record treatment changes per policy and procedures.
* Instruct patient's families or nursing staff in maintenance program and caregiver training in preparation for discharge from therapy services.

Qualification
Education and/or Experience
A master's or doctoral degree in SLP and meet either of these requirements:
* Is licensed as an SLP by the state in which they provide services;
OR
* In the case of a person who practices in a state that doesn't license SLPs, they must have:
o Successfully completed 350 clock hours of supervised clinical practicum (or be in the process of accumulating supervised clinical experience);
o Performed at least 9 months of supervised full-time SLP services after obtaining a master's or doctoral degree in SLP or a related field; and
o Successfully completed a national examination in SLP approved by the HHS Secretary. Proficient in computer skills such as inputting data into programs such as Casamba and Point Click Care.
