THE ROLE

Responsible for providing products and services in the frozen food/dairy department that meet the requirements of customers, including the usage of proper phone etiquette, answering customer questions, and communicating with management. Ensure that stock levels are maintained at all times in the frozen food/dairy department, and that all products are fresh and properly displayed, as well as follow appropriate health regulations and safety standards concerning sanitation and food handling. Maintain stock levels by taking product from cooler or backroom to sales floor, opening cases, and stocking to shelf in appropriate location. Inspect and maintain quality of frozen food/dairy items in displays, cases, shelves, coolers, freezers, etc. by checking relevant information. Learn and perform the duties of similar positions in other departments as required. Assist in and maintain cleanliness of work area (for example, register, equipment, utensils) and floor. Learn and perform the tasks of the department manager in their absence (Full time Associates only).
Required Skills
High School diploma / G.E.D. equivalent or currently enrolled in high school or GED Program.
Must be willing and able to work flexible shifts as required (day, evening, weekend, holiday).
Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
Must be authorized or have the ability to obtain authorization to work in the United States.

Position Overview:
We are looking for a detail-oriented, hard -working Inventory Clerk to join our team. They will have prior experience working in a warehouse environment and will possess excellent math skills. They will, when required, have flexibility regarding scheduling. The Inventory Clerk's responsibilities include managing all the company's supplies, parts and products. They track items as they enter the warehouse through records of what's been purchased/received, sold/shipped, returned and transferred. They participate in forecasting and purchase planning. Ultimately, they will be responsible for the inventory of all supplies and products.
Responsibilities:
Maintain and update inventory records using ERP's inventory management software.
Support returned items via updating Sales Order's/Project Board's product details, communicating and executing returned item's dispositions.
Monitor inventory levels to prevent shortages and excesses.
Perform scheduled physical inventory cycle counts, reports and reconcile any discrepancies.
Coordinate with Sales and Procurement teams to forecast future inventory needs.
Implement effective inventory control methods and procedures.
Identify and report obsolete, stagnant and damaged inventory in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Inspect returned merchandise.
Audit incoming and outgoing shipments.
Provide inventory control reports as required.
Assist loading and unloading inbound & outbound shipments.
Operate equipment according to training provided.
Operate in a safe and efficient manner.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent is required, Associates degree or higher is preferred.
2+ years of experience in an Inventory role.
Ability to use computers and other office technology.
Familiarity with data entry systems.
Able to lift weights up to and including 50 pounds and climb ladders up to a 20' elevation.
Able to stand and bend for long periods of time in a warehouse environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Great Mathematical, analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
