About the Role

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Pick large case items with material handling equipment or pick small unit of measure items and place on designated cart.
Cross-train in multiple areas of the warehouse and participate in projects as needed.
Utilize Warehouse Management System (WMS) to check in and/or send out products.
Drive material handling equipment as required by job duty. Example equipment in the facility may include order picker (cherry picker), forklift, reach truck, turret truck, pallet jack, and walkie rider.
Complete housekeeping and inventory control tasks and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Work on routine assignments that require problem resolution.
Participate in associate meetings and communicate any concerns to management.
Adhere to site safety regulations including wearing required personal protective equipment such as steel toed safety shoes, and material handling equipment safety harness; accountable to Cardinal Health's EHS as well as QRA policies and procedures.

Pay and Schedule
$20.00 - 22.00 an hour
Sunday - Thursday 9:00 am to 5:30 pm
Responsibilities
Warehouse Associates are responsible for moving furniture in a timely and safe manner.
While working both independently and as part of a team, Warehouse Associates are expected to unpackage, assemble, and prepare furniture for transport both on HOM Furniture delivery trucks and in customer vehicles.
Inspecting furniture for damage and flaws is an important part of the duties of a Warehouse Associate in order to ensure customer satisfaction.
Warehouse Associates must maintain a safe and efficient working environment.

Requirements
Experience: No experience necessary. Job Training will be provided.
Physical Demands: High physical demands can be required. The employee is regularly required to stand for sustained periods of time. The employee can be expected to lift, push, and pull up to 150 pounds individually and up to 300 pounds as a part of a team. Occasionally, The employee will be required to ascend and descend ladders and stairs in a safe manner. May be required to work safely from heights when necessary. The employee must adhere to safe lifting techniques, follow proper training for learned job hazards and ergonomic risk factors, participate in the departmental stretching program, and maintain an overall safe working environment.
Other: Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

Operate a forklift to move materials and products within the department
Load and unload trucks at shipping and receiving docks
Verify part numbers, quantities, and purchase order information against packing slips
Work in a safe manner, following all safety rules and regulations
Accurately complete paperwork for production records
Cycle count inventory and research problems
Process all shipments and receipts
Pick boxed material from the warehouse
Print a barcode label to identify the product
Audit warehouse inventory discrepancies and conclude the most probable cause of errors, and prepare a report
Key all warehouse inventory adjustments
What you need to be a Warehouse Worker:
Ability to operate electric stand-up/sit-down forklifts and overhead cranes in a warehouse environment
Ability to read and understand routings, work orders, manifests, and production reports
Ability to count accurately
Capable of taking instructions and working with little supervision
Proficient in EPICOR computer software
