Responsibilities
The Sterile Processing Clerk (Instrument Processing Technician) is responsible for maintaining instruments and equipment in an optimal fashion and preparing instrumentation, equipment, and sterile supplies for the surgical patient.
Key Responsibilities:
* Functions as an Instrument Processing Technician under the direction of the Clinical Leader/Registered Nurse.
* Knowledge of sterilization procedures, aseptic technique, and maintenance and care of instruments and equipment.
* Knowledge of standards and engages in practices and procedures of sterile technique.
* Cleans and/or disinfects instruments and equipment after use and returns it to the proper area, in appropriate sequence, for storage and/or processing.
* Differentiates sterilization and disinfection methods required for specific instruments and equipment.
* Cleans, wraps, sterilizes, and disinfects instruments and equipment and maintains the functions of the instrument processing area/department.
* Responsible for crossover duties in other areas such as purchasing supplies and inventory management in proper areas according to facility policy and management guidance.
Qualifications
* High school graduate or GED required.
* Understanding of sterilization and high-level disinfection technologies including industry standardized principles and practice in sterilization and disinfection required.
* Prior experience in instrument processing preferred.
* Prior experience as a surgical technologist/procedure technologist preferred.
* Successful completion of BCLS Course within 90 days of employment required or documentation of current BCLS certification.
* Certification in instrument processing is preferred.

Responsibilities
* Responsible for scheduling all outpatient surgeries and procedures as requested by the physician or the physician's office staff.
* Responsible for obtaining and adding patient demographics and insurance information into the billing system.
* Responsible for contacting payers to verify patient benefits and obtain necessary authorization.
* Coordinates efforts with the Director of Nursing to ensure availability of needed equipment, requested staff, and/or ancillary services.
* Prepares and distributes the daily surgery schedule to the Nursing Managers, RNs, Pre-Op and PACU Nurse and Technicians, Business Office Manager.
* Responsible for capturing complete and accurate clinical, demographic and insurance information on patients scheduled at the surgery center.
* Responsible for communicating to the Director of Nursing, and other appropriate employees, for same day and next day add-on cases.
* Responsible for communicating any potential scheduling conflicts to the Director of Nursing.
* Promptly communicates any patient problems to the Business Office Manager and/or Director of Nursing.
* Maintains positive communications with the medical staff members and their office personnel.
* Responsible for tracking cancellations.
* Responsible for monitoring and maintaining and releasing block time.
* Responsible for preparing daily bank deposits for monies received at the surgery center.

* Enter the patient insurance information into patient accounting system ensuring the selection is the appropriate payer and associated financial class.
* When the patient's insurance is Out of Network notify the manager immediately. Follow the Policies and Procedures when accepting Out of Network payers.
* SCA's goal for each patient's insurance verification is complete and accurate. The insurance verifier will document the findings in the patient account and will contact the patient with either estimated co-insurance, co-pay and or deductible amounts due on or before the date of service as applicable

Responsibilities
We are actively hiring for an Charge Nurse Operating Room.
Charge Nurse (RN) Operating Room Responsibilities:
* Assess patient status throughout the perioperative episode of care.
* Develop an individualized perioperative patient plan of care by implementing:
* Provide hand-off report to other teammates that are accurate, concise and pertinent to the patient's condition and response to care.
* Manage the surgical area both operationally and fiscally during tour of duty.
* Act as a clinical resource for perioperative personnel using current literature and guidelines, organizational policies and procedures, and regulatory and accreditation standards.
* Assist perioperative personnel in the evaluation of current practice through quality and performance improvement activities.
* Maintain radiation safety at all times in accordance with facility policies and procedures.
* Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Charge Nurse (RN) Operating Room Requirements:
* Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
* One year of OR and/or medical / surgical nursing experience preferred.
* Current state nursing licensure to practice in good standings.
* Successful completion of Basic Life Support (BLS) or Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) within 90 of employment or documentation of current BLS/BCLS certification.
* Successful completion of Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Course within 90 days of employment or documentation of current ACLS certification.
* Successful completion of Pediatric Advance Life support (PALS) course is required when pediatric care is included in the facility scope of services within 90 days of employment or documentation of current PALS certification.
* Specialty certification in Perioperative Nursing is preferred.
