As a SurgicalTechnician, you use your knowledge of anatomy, patient needs and departmental procedures to prepare for and manage surgical cases at ProMedica.
You will ensure sterile field integrity by using aseptic techniques and addressing any breaks in sterile technique quickly.
Teamwork is key in this role as you work with the circulating nurse to keep an accurate count of sponges, instruments, and sharps in accordance with department guidelines.

REQUIREMENTS
Education: Must be a high school graduate or equivalent. Must be a graduate of a Surgical Technology program or a Licensed Practical Nurse educational program.
License: Current, unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) licensure from the state of employment if hiring into the LPN capacity.
Certification: CPR required.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
Years of Experience: Prior experience in a surgical setting preferred.
Certification: Preferred Certification by the Association of Surgical Technologists (AST), certification from NCCT.
