A thorough understanding of NCAA and GMAC rules and regulations is required. The head coach must adhere to these rules and ensure that the program is in compliance with all rules, regulations and guidelines.     Full-time Description Lifeguard Instructor - Train. Lead. Inspire. Love the water and leading a team? As a Lifeguard Instructor (LGI), you'll teach, mentor, and inspire lifeguards to protect lives with confidence and skill. You'll run certification classes, lead in-service trainings, and help ensure every guard on deck is ready for anything. This is the perfect role for someone who's confident in the water, passionate about safety, and enjoys helping others succeed. Day to Day for Lifeguard Instructors: Teach lifeguard certification courses following American Red Cross standards Lead in-service trainings throughout the summer to keep skills sharp Run hands-on sessions that make learning fun, engaging, and effective Mentor lifeguards through both praise and constructive feedback Conduct employee skill audits to ensure safety and readiness Help identify training needs and strengthen team performance Track attendance and certification records Manage training equipment (mannequins, AEDs, backboards, etc.) Set up and clean up after classes and trainings Lifeguard Instructor Skills: A confident leader who enjoys working with people of all ages Energetic, encouraging, and great at public speaking Patient and professional, even under pressure Organized, reliable, and proactive Someone who leads by example - in and out of the water Lifeguard Instructor Requirements: High school diploma or GED (or in progress) At least 17 years old Valid driver's license and reliable transportation American Red Cross Certifications: Lifeguarding with First Aid, CPR, and AED Lifeguard Instructor or Instructor Trainer Preferred: 2+ years of lifeguarding experience 1+ year as a certified instructor Additional certifications (Lifeguard Instructor Trainer or Water Safety Instructor) Train the next generation.
