You'll wow us by masterfully performing the following key duties and responsibilities: Preparing swim lesson plans to meet the goals of each swimmer. Communicating directly with swim lesson participants and their families. Adapting lessons to participant age, physical ability, and interests. Ensuring the safety of swim lesson participants. Arriving to work on time, as scheduled. Requirements Must be at least 15 years of age. American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor certification is preferred. To be obtained 30 days post-hire: CPR/AED/First Aid Pediatric and Adults certification, Dell JCC Swim Instructor Certification Pass all required criminal history background checks (which may, depending on the position you are hired for, include an FBI fingerprint check). Your Typical Responsibilities: Support the Aquatics Leader and/or Business Owner(s) Follow British Swim Schools curriculum to ensure safe and competent lessons and environment. Work evenings (3pm-8pm), Saturdays (8:30am- 3:30pm), Sundays (1:30pm-6pm), and some holidays as required by business needs. Maintain certifications throughout employment. Work in an environment where noise levels are usually moderate to high and stand in the water for up to 5 consecutive hours. Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma, equivalent, or in the process of completion. Enthusiastic personality. Comfortable in and around the water. Strong swimming skills are a plus but can be taught and developed! Must maintain certifications throughout the length of employment. Must complete all required British Swim School Aquatics-specific training and testing. Must be at least 17-years old Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with children. Swimming experience: 1-2 years preferred but not required. Customer service skills: 1 year preferred.
