Specific Duties and Responsibilities Essential Functions: Provides supervision for students attending swim lessons by organizing and conducting classes according to the policies and procedures published by Jeff Ellis Swimming and the City of Kissimmee. Responsible for administrative work including student progress reports, lessons plans, attendance records and other administrative work as needed. Inspects the pool area, grounds, facilities and equipment for safety and proper condition. Monitors the activities and behavior of swim lesson participants; ensures compliance with all safety policies and procedures. Assists swimmers in danger, and performs CPR and provides First Aid as necessary. Prepares accident/incident reports as required. Mad Science is the world's leading provider of fun science programs for elementary-aged children. This is a part-time position and is somewhat seasonal. Pay for all Areas of Business (AOB) is hourly including set-up and clean-up time. Starting pay is $22.00-$25.00 per hour DOE. We are looking for HIGHLY ENERGETIC, CONFIDENT AND ENTHUSIASTIC individuals to join our growing team to conduct exciting science, engineering, and technology programs during after-school and morning time slots. You do NOT need to be a certified teacher (although we love that!). Responsibilities: - Facilitating day camps, in-person workshops, and after-school science enrichment programs for children from preschool through elementary school - Deliver high-energy, part entertainment, part education, hands-on programs that meet for one hour each week for approximately 8-12 weeks. - Drive to various locations across southern Maine. Some programming takes place in northern parts of New Hampshire and northern, coastal Maine. - Enjoy teaching young children the art of science! - Attend paid training sessions virtually and/or at our office. - Attend the mandatory Friday Staff Meeting every week (paid). - Be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs. - Be on time for all scheduled activities. - Adhere to strict safety and cleanliness guidelines. Qualifications: - Must be at least 18 years old - Must be available a minimum of TWO, consistent weekday afternoons, 12-5pm .
