Position Overview
The Tax Specialist I is responsible for providing excellent support efforts for Paylocity's suite of applications. This is not your average Help Desk; you will be expected to learn multiple software products and fully support any questions or issues that may arise. Tax Adjustment Team
Tax Adjustments is responsible for providing support to internal partners in assisting Paylocity's clients with payroll tax functionality and pay history data corrections. This includes processing corrective "nocalc" adjustment payrolls, creating corrected employee year-end tax forms, answering questions about how to set up employees' taxes to ensure accurate tax withholding, performing User Acceptance Testing (UAT) when new tax calculation functionality is being released, and troubleshooting payroll tax calculation system issues and reporting opportunities to Development to enhance the system.

Description & Requirements As an intern at Forvis Mazars, you will gain valuable experience that may help you decide whether you want to start your career in audit or tax, or even whether public accounting is right for you. You will work on client engagements like those assigned to our entry-level associates, gaining exposure to a variety of industries, and testing out your technical know-how. You will work alongside our senior staff and management personnel, learning from their experience as you develop your skillset.
Depending on local office needs, internships are available in assurance, tax, or a combination of the two and can be part-time or full-time. Generally, winter semester internships run from early-January through April 15th, and summer internships can typically run from early-June through mid-August.
How you will contribute:
* Work with client personnel to reconcile account differences and analyze financial data
* Prepare individual, corporate, partnership, or other tax returns
* Calculate tax extension or estimate payments
* Participate in client meetings alongside Forvis Mazars partners and managers
We are looking for people who have Forward Vision and:

This internship is a full-time, six-month commitment in the Orlando, FL area from January 2026 - August 2026.
What You Will Do
This role is part of the Income Tax group within Tax Operations. Key responsibilities of the role could include:
* Assist with gathering and analyzing data, performing computations, and preparing work papers for tax returns, provisions, forecasts and projects
* Assisting with the preparation of federal, state and/or Canadian corporate income tax estimates, extensions and returns for a diverse group of businesses conducting multi-national operations
* Collaborating with tax, business and accounting partners to obtain data necessary for tax calculations and reporting
* Identifying tax process enhancements and automation opportunities
* Acting as an embedded team member within Disney's Corporate Tax Center of Excellence (COE)
* Drafting user manuals for the department to outline Standard Operating Guidelines
Required Qualifications & Skills
* Takes initiative and has a process improvement mind set (Tech Savvy)
* Proficient in MS Office Suite with intermediate Excel experience (pivot tables, VLOOKUP's)
* Possess strong time management skills - Able to multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlines
