Key Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive primary care services, including acute and chronic disease management, wellness exams, immunizations, and preventive screenings for pediatric and adult patients. Responsible for seeking the maximum reimbursement on behalf of CCHC through various external and internal programs and payment plans with assisting patients with payment of their bills. The RCS will perform patient registration and verify insurance benefits. Resolve complex insurance related issues by working with appropriate parties within CCHC and insurance companies. Provide education and support to patients and clinical staff regarding financial policies. Responsible for review clinical documentation to abstract and/or validate CPT and ICD-10 coding medical services. This position will ensure that medical records are coded in an accurate and timely manner as well as work closely with team to consistently and accurately resolve errors or issues associated with coding and billing processes, and when necessary, assist in the design and implementation of workflow changes to reduce billing errors. Responsibilities Include but are not limited to: * Payment Posting; Processing Claims; Charge Entry; AR Follow-up' Insurance Verification * Ensure that claims are transmitted electronically each day to the appropriate payer. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: * At least 2-3 years of direct service experience in social services (working in the field of HIV service preferred). * Must be knowledgeable about HIV/AIDS. * Experience serving homeless, ex-offenders, individuals living with HIV/AIDS and/or substance abuse population is preferred. * Computer proficiency is required as well as the ability to relate to people of diverse backgrounds, cultures, races, sexual orientation and gender identities or expression. * Strong organization and time management skills required as well as the ability to work independently. * An automobile, valid Drivers License and vehicle insurance coverage is required. * Occasional late or weekend hours may be required. RESPONSIBILITIES: * Manage an assigned caseload of client with HIV/AIDS requiring comprehensive Ryan White Non-Medical Case Management Services. * Conducts initial intake and ongoing assessments every six months. * Develop a comprehensive care plan and monitor client's progress towards improving/stabilizing established care plan goals. * Refer and link clients to appropriate services within the system of care that promote positive health outcomes, treatment adherence, and greater self-sufficiency. * Maintain client file, records all activity, and maintain appropriate documentation of eligibility. * Inputs all data into the client level database in a timely manner. * Provide access to Emergency Financial Assistance (e.g. food vouchers, utility payment assistance, and transportation vouchers) as needed to promote and maintain positive health outcomes. * Complete the Certified Application Counselor training with a passing grade as determined by IL Department of Insurance. * Facilitate enrollment of eligible health center patients and service area residents into affordable health insurance coverage through the Health Insurance Marketplace or Medicaid. * Attends at least 12 training during the contract year to enhance skills and HIV knowledge. * Submits monthly/quarterly/annually reports on program/client activities in a timely fashion. * Attends monthly HIV Team meetings and all other relevant program meetings as scheduled. * Conducts presentations and/or educational workshops on behalf of CCHC. * Conducts peer chart reviews to ensure continued quality of services. * Meets with clients at other agency clinic locations as necessary. Stewardship: We strive for racial and health equity, diversity, and inclusion by delivering quality health care and access for all Position Summary An FQHC Revenue Cycle Manager oversees and optimizes the entire revenue cycle process for a Federally Qualified Health Center, from patient registration to final payment, while ensuring FQHC-specific compliance. Key responsibilities include ensuring claims are submitted accurately and promptly, resolving denials, and producing reports. The role requires a strong knowledge of FQHC, Medicare, and Medicaid billing regulations, as well as proficiency in EHR systems and data analysis. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Included but not limited to the following); Billing and collections: Oversee the entire billing process, including charge capture, claims submission, payment posting, and denial management to maximize reimbursement and improve cash flow. This also involves implementing and maintaining clean claims processing protocols. Compliance and auditing: Ensure compliance with FQHC regulations, including Medicare/Medicaid billing codes, the Prospective Payment System (PPS), and the 340B drug pricing program. Reporting and analysis: Monitor and report on key revenue cycle metrics, such as accounts receivable (A/R) days, denial rates, and collection rates, presenting findings. Training: Educate providers and front-desk staff on documentation and billing practices. Payer relations: Manage relationships with insurance companies and government payers, resolve payment disputes, and stay informed about policy changes. Process improvement: Identify and implement opportunities to improve efficiency within the revenue cycle through new procedures, software, and automation. Sliding fee program: Oversee the FQHC's sliding fee discount program for uninsured and underinsured patients, ensuring compliance with federal guidelines. System management: Manage and optimize the use of electronic health record (EHR) and billing software, such as Epic or eClinicalWorks. Other duties as assigned which are necessary to maintain TCA Health's efficiency. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Education: A bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, finance, or a related field is often preferred, but a candidate with significant experience may qualify. Experience: Typically requires 5+ years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle management Experience working in an FQHC or community health setting is strongly preferred. Specialized knowledge: Must have a deep understanding of FQHC-specific billing requirements, reimbursement methodologies (like PPS), and government programs such as Medicaid and Medicare. Technical skills: Proficiency with EHR/billing systems, data analytics, and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) is essential. Soft skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are necessary for success in this role.
