Position Summary:
Reporting to the Chief Legal Officer and Special Advisor to the President, the Title IX/Title VI Coordinator is responsible for ensuring NEC's compliance with Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, and related federal and state laws and regulations. This role involves developing, implementing, and monitoring policies and procedures related to discrimination, harassment, and sexual misconduct, as well as providing education, training, and support to the campus community. There are also mandatory state and federal compliance obligations that will also require the support from the Coordinator.
Responsibilities:
Compliance and Policy:
Develop, implement, and monitor institutional policies and procedures related to Title IX and Title VI.
Ensure compliance with federal and state laws and regulations, including the Clery Act (incorporating the Stop Campus Hazing Act), the Violence Against Women Act, and other relevant legislation. This will require the compilation and submission of data in cooperation with the Chief Legal Officer and other relevant offices on campus.
Maintain current knowledge of evolving legal and regulatory requirements, including impacts of Executive Orders, related guidance document, and other statements of policy from federal and state oversight agencies.
Investigations and Resolution:
Oversee prompt and impartial investigations of complaints of discrimination, harassment, and sexual misconduct, ensuring fair and equitable resolution processes for all parties involved, in compliance with all legal requirements. This will commonly include the oversight of internal and external role-players under NEC's policies.
Determine whether other informal measures are appropriate to resolve certain cases via mediation or some other form of dispute resolution.
Work with NEC community members to implement and execute supportive measures, as appropriate.
Maintain accurate and confidential records of all complaints and investigations, including fulfilling all obligations under the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (“FERPA”) and the Department of Education's FERPA regulations.
Education and Training:
Develop and deliver timely and comprehensive training and education programs for students, faculty, and staff on relevant policies and procedures.
Promote awareness and prevention of discrimination, harassment, and sexual misconduct.
Coordination and Collaboration:
Collaborate across the institution to ensure a coordinated response to complaints, including the obligations of mandatory reporters.
Serve as a liaison with relevant external agencies and organizations.
Generate reports on Title IX and Title VI compliance for institutional leadership.
Support and Advocacy:
Provide guidance and support to individuals who have experienced or witnessed discrimination or harassment.
Provide support and resources to reporting parties and respondents throughout the resolution process.
Contribute to creating a safe and inclusive campus environment, working interactively with community constituents.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required; Master's or Juris Doctor (J.D.) preferred.
Extensive knowledge and experience with Title IX, Title VI, and related federal and state laws and regulations.
Experience supervising investigations and resolving complaints of discrimination and harassment.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
Experience working in a higher education setting is strongly preferred.
Qualifications:
Formal Title IX and Title VI coordinator or extensive investigator training. If the candidate has not held a role like this for more than 3 years, they must provide relevant training and experience in an addendum to application materials.

The Early Childhood Music Teaching Artist at NEC Prep is a passionate and experienced educator responsible for delivering a high-quality musical curriculum to children from three months old to pre-K (ages 0-5). JOB SUMMARY:
The Concert Stage Manager's main duties are to coordinate concert activities, and to ensure proper set-ups for concerts, rehearsals, and special events. This individual reports to the Assistant Director of Performance Production.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Manage stage/backstage activities during concerts and rehearsals.
2. Execute set-ups for concerts, rehearsals and special events.
3. Acquire and organize rehearsal and concert set-ups for NEC ensembles, special events and renter organizations.
4. Oversee concurrent concerts, recitals and events in other halls and rooms.
5. Supervise full-time stage assistants and work-study assistants.
6. Consult with Audience Service Manager to ensure the quality and public safety of concert presentations.
7. Move pianos, percussion, and other large instruments throughout buildings.
8. Assist with educational support for classroom activities (chairs, tables, blackboards, etc.) as needed.
9. Perform general maintenance and cleaning of concert halls and associated areas.
10. Assist with theatrical lighting requirements for NEC ensembles, special events and renter organizations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. High School degree required
2. Familiarity with musical styles including orchestral, wind ensemble, chamber music, choral, and jazz.
3. Familiarity with musical instruments and equipment.
4. Experience working with the artistic requirements of musicians.
5. Physical ability to set-up and move equipment, and perform general maintenance tasks.

If it's an on-campus event, work with University venue managers, building services, physical plant, catering, audiovisual, parking, public safety, business office, and other constituencies. If using non-University vendors, negotiate low prices on behalf of DIBI; negotiate terms of the agreement and facilitate University process for contractual agreements. Work with internal constituencies to prepare invitations and develop guest lists. Recruit, supervise and educate staff (volunteers) on relevant logistics of the events. Maintain DIBI events calendar of both internal and external events. Evaluate external events and provide analysis and recommendations for DIBI participation, including sponsorship opportunities, collaborations, public speaking, exhibitions, and other forms of event participation. Work with the Senior Director of Public Outreach to inform the DIBI engagement strategy and to proactively advise the DIBI team about events.
3) Event Assessment/Evaluation (10%)
Review and report on event evaluations, as appropriate. Create statistical reports of event outcomes. Conduct post-event reviews to identify areas of improvement in future event planning and follow up with key partners to integrate improvement ideas.
4) Establish Best Practices (10%)
Identify appropriate resources, e.g., professional experience, assessment/evaluation data, literature, other event managers, to develop a set of documents of best practices for delivery of accurate event procedures at the DIBI that strengthen and enhance the Institute and University image and support the organizational mission.

Additionally, the applicant should have strong financial and operational management skills to ensure operational excellence and sustainable growth, with a demonstrated record of success in scholarly publications and/or obtaining external sources of funding. Candidates will have a strong record of building and maintaining productive education and research collaborations with a variety of stakeholders throughout the healthcare ecosystem. Serves as a senior staff member for return to performance committee and is expected to provide guidance on all training plans of rehabbing athletes. Support and mentor the assistant strength coaches on staff. Provide performance interventions to athletes as assigned and demonstrate proficiency with all scientific methods outlined by the department. This position will also be responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with vendors for weight room upgrades and maintenance. Work in a collaborative model and may be responsible for implementing training programs with teams/athletes not directly assigned to them. Collaborate and communicate with coaches, team physicians, sports medicine fellows, athletic training students, physical therapy residents, and other clinical students associated with Sports Performance and UHCS. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
Provide strength and conditioning training services to maintain the well-being of intercollegiate athletes along with emergency medical services to manage catastrophic and life-threatening injury at athletic practices/events
Oversee daily operation procedures for strength and conditioning training facilities, including the master scheduling of Cabot and Matthews weight room, establishing and maintaining relationships with vendors who supply and service exercise equipment. In collaboration with Sports Performance and Medicine staff, design and implement a coordinated strength and conditioning services plan for intercollegiate and/or club athletic events hosted by Northeastern University. Coordinate scheduling and communication for club strength and conditioning services. Oversee coaches implementing programming for club strength & conditioning services.
Communicate as a senior staff member with coaches, administrators, athletic training, and medicine staff, regarding injured athletes and athletes with acute & chronic performance limiters. This includes meeting weekly with our Senior Staff Care Team for “Athletes to Watch” to discuss training goals as well as individual interventions and action steps for these athletes. Communicate with referring physicians and other allied health professions regarding a student-athlete's condition to provide appropriate care and prescribed treatment, as well as liaison to access appropriate services to manage the medical needs of student-athletes.
Maintain comprehensive, accurate conditioning records. This includes creating performance testing reports for sports performance staff, coaches, and athletes. In collaboration with the Head Strength & Conditioning Coach and Sports Medicine collect, analyze, and manage performance testing data. Seek timely and appropriate supervision and consultation
