Annual Days: 260 General Purpose: The Custodian is responsible for cleaning, repairing, and maintaining assigned buildings, equipment, systems, and grounds in compliance with all safety, health and school rules and regulations toprovide students with an invitational school environment that is a safe, attractive, comfortable, clean, and efficient place in which to learn and develop. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Clean all assigned areas daily to include sanitizing bathroom, restocking bathroom supplies, vacuuming and cleaning carpets, clean and maintain tiled floors, dust all room surfaces, collect and dispose of trash, and clean all glass surfaces. Maintain playground and playground equipment (elementary only). Maintain and monitor supply room and deliver supplies as directed. On snow days, assist in the cleaning and salting of sidewalks. When special events are held at assigned facility, complete extra cleaning before and after the event and assist with any set up or breakdown of equipment. Report to work in appropriate work attire as directed and maintain proper grooming. Complete minor maintenance repairs or grounds-keeping tasks in school buildings as assigned. Positively represents the school and its mission to the students, parents, colleagues, and general public. Ability to work cooperatively with school staff and administration. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Basic math, writing, and communication skills. Technical knowledge concerning maintenance and custodial techniques including standard methods for materials, tools and safety practices. Ability to operate and maintain all types of custodial equipment, hand tools and snow removal equipment. Basic knowledge of health and safety codes, custodial chemicals and OSHA requirements. Valid Colorado drivers license preferred. Experience: 1-2 years' experience in custodial or maintenance work preferred. Hours: Monday - Friday: 2:00 P.M. - 10:30 P.M. Education and Experience Must possess an Associate Degree in Accounting; a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or Business Administration preferred. Must have experience working in an office environment, preferable working with money and data Must be proficient in Microsoft products Word and Excel (Access experience is a plus) Experience with accounting software or the ability to quickly learn is required Experience with General Ledger entries and financial reporting is preferred. Experience with the CO Chart of Accounts for Public Schools is preferred. Fund Accounting experience is preferred. Must be able to use a 10-key proficiently or become proficient within 3 months of the date of hire. Must be a notary or be willing to become a notary within one month of the date of hire. Budgeting experience is preferred. Other Requirements Must be able to multi-task and quickly learn and follow policies and procedures. Must agree to follow all school policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Manual and other written and/or verbal directives given by the Business Manager and/or Executive Director. Uphold a strict level of confidentiality. Must understand within two years of the date of hire financial reports such as a Balance Sheet, Budget to Actual, and General Ledger. Must be able to perform mathematical calculations relating to payroll, employee leave, budgeting, and any other area of Business Office operations as required. Must be able to work on an annual basis with the school auditor as directed by the Business Manager. Under the direction of the TRIO Upward Bound Director and in collaboration with the Concurrent Enrollment department, the Upward Bound Project Advisor will support the day-to-day operations of the program, including planning, implementing, and coordinating activities and services. The Advisor will work directly with students to promote academic achievement, personal growth, and college readiness. Key responsibilities include providing academic advising and support, individual and group counseling, and exposure to career and educational opportunities. The Advisor will also assist with developing and coordinating educational programming such as tutoring, Academic Saturday sessions, college and career exploration trips, and summer programs. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: CRS 23-60-304 indicates that postsecondary CTE faculty, instructors, or part-time hourly experts (concurrent enrollment and non-concurrent enrollment) must hold a valid CTE postsecondary credential. This credential ensures the CTE program provides students with well qualified instructors possessing appropriate occupational and educational experience. * Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Economics, Management, Marketing, Statistics, Data Analytics or another Business-related field earned from a regionally accredited institution. * 2,000 verified occupational/industry hours within the last 7 years. * Occupational hours older than 7 years may be accepted if the applicant has been teaching in the content area for at least 3 years full-time or at least 6 years part-time. * Eligible for CTE credentialing in the state of Colorado. * Demonstrated excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills. * Ability to use a learning management system (LMS). * Commitment to learning innovative ideas for classroom presentations and dynamic class interactions to engage student learning in a meaningful way.
