RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Works directly with the Project Manager and the management team to develop and implement an effective site-specific EHS plan, while adhering to all corporate, divisional, and regional EHS programs and processes.
+ Assists Project Managers and EHS Managers/Specialists in the coordination of subcontractor EHS protocols, including vendors and owner personnel working on company project(s). Coordinates project EHS programs with subcontractors. Assists in planning and coordinating work to eliminate hazards, minimize risks, and aggressively manage losses involving injuries or property damages.
+ Coordinates quarterly comprehensive on-site EHS audits. Periodically inspects and evaluates the project site, equipment and processes for compliance with applicable local, state and federal regulations, as well as company and owner policies and procedures.
+ Conducts accident investigations and completes incident reporting for Project Management review.
+ Accompanies injured employees to treatment and medical evaluation. Ensures all EHS protocols are followed.
+ Advises Project Management on Industrial Hygiene protocols; performs Environmental Monitoring.
+ Manages Company's Drug-Free Workplace Policy, ensuring proper testing for Pre-Employment, Vehicle Authorization, Reasonable Suspicion, Post-Accident, Random, and Follow-Up.
+ Provides training and education to Company personnel regarding EHS requirements, including coordination of new hire EHS orientation programs.
+ Administers the corporate SPAT process on assigned projects.
+ Completes and provides a weekly EHS update to EHS Leadership.
QUALIFICATIONS
+ Bachelor's Degree in Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Civil Engineering or Construction Management or equivalent

JOB SUMMARY
This role will be responsible for developing detailed and accurate cost estimates as part of the Project Controls & Project Financial Office for the California High-Speed Rail Program. The role functions as an integral team member, contributing to the planning and execution of cost estimation activities to support program goals and financial oversight under the general direction of the Estimating Manager.

Develop capital cost estimates across all project phases, from planning and conceptual design to final design and construction.

Assist in creating and maintaining policies, procedures, and standards for program-wide cost estimating practices.
Collaborate with the Estimating Manager and Project Controls team to ensure alignment between scope, schedule, and cost.
Maintain cost estimate documentation and support audits, reporting, and oversight functions.
Participate in process improvement efforts to enhance the accuracy, efficiency, and transparency of cost estimating activities.
Qualifications
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
BA/BS + 8 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
15+ years of estimating experience, including 10+ years on large transit projects ($1B+).
Proficient in cost estimating and database software (e.g., HCSS, Timberline, Onscreen Takeoff).
Strong skills in cost analysis, change order evaluation, and negotiation.
Proven experience leading estimating teams on complex infrastructure programs.
Effective communicator with ability to interpret plans, develop scopes, and present to stakeholders.
Professional certification in cost estimating or engineering preferred.

Coordinates emergency response, provides care for injured employees, performs incident investigation, conducts interviews, compiles information and photographs, completes incident reports, participates in incident review process, tracks progress on recommended corrective actions, and develops lessons learned to be shared.

Support field investigations for dams, levees, and other water infrastructure projects, including soil and rock logging, sampling, and groundwater observations.
Assist in laboratory testing and data analysis of soils and rock.
Help prepare geologic maps, cross sections, and technical figures to support engineering designs.
Contribute to geotechnical and geologic assessments for foundation conditions, seepage, slope stability, and embankment behavior.
Participate in report writing, data organization, and presentations.
Learn about geologic hazards and their influence on water infrastructure projects.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Geology or a related field, or demonstrated equivalency of education and/or experience.
Due to the nature of work, US Citizenship is required.
Preferred Qualifications
Coursework in hydrogeology, engineering geology, structural geology, and/or sedimentology.
Familiarity with geologic logging, mapping, and GIS software.
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
Interest in water infrastructure projects and dam safety.

AECOM is growing in northern California and seeking a talented and motivated Senior Environmental Urban Planner/Project Manager. The successful candidate would partner with other leaders in northern California and our multi-disciplinary team to engage with our expanding pool of public and private sector clients, and manage planning projects and associated environmental impact analyses, including CEQA compliance processes and documentation. JOB SUMMARY
This role supports the California High-Speed Rail project by performing forensic delay analyses, schedule evaluations, and claims assessments. Working within the Risk Management Office, this role helps ensure schedule integrity, identifies risks, and contributes to resolving time-related disputes.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform detailed forensic delay analyses, develop delay causation narratives, and produce summary reports identifying delay responsibility and impacts
Analyze contractor-submitted time impact analyses (TIAs) and schedule-related claims to assess validity and quantify time extension requests
Collaborate with regional Authority staff, Project Construction Managers (PCMs), and consultants in schedule planning, development, and maintenance for CHSR projects
Provide schedule development and ongoing schedule maintenance, including updates to schedule data, duration adjustments, and documentation of schedule basis and assumptions
Evaluate critical path, longest path, and near-critical activities; provide insight into the project's ability to meet schedule milestones
Develop and maintain what-if schedules and scenario analyses to support forecasting and risk mitigation strategies
Assist in the development of rebuttal documentation and participate in claims review meetings to support dispute resolution
Identify schedule risks and contribute to risk assessments, including evaluation of environmental, utility, and seasonal constraints impacting construction timelines
Monitor and verify schedule progress and provide periodic reporting to Program/Project Controls, including variance and performance analysis
Coordinate with financial analysts to assess the cost implications of schedule delays or extensions
Provide recommendations for increasing schedule reliability, accuracy, and overall program schedule health

* Site development, access roads, drainage channels, jurisdictional and non-jurisdictional dams, slope stabilization, retaining walls, detention ponds, land development, surface drainage, and stream restoration.
* Prepare detailed calculation packages for earthwork quantities, reservoir storage capacity, and tailing storage under guidance of senior team members.
* Knowledge of how to process a variety of data sources to build existing base surfaces from LiDAR, survey points, breaklines, DEMs, and contours.
* Understanding of coordinate systems and the ability to transform data from one system to another.
* Ability to take general direction and simple sketches from engineers to then develop design criteria and progress through all stages of design.
* Data management of survey and client data through the project life cycle.

Responsibilities
Assist in the design and analysis of stormwater management systems, drainage networks, and flood control infrastructure.
Perform hydrologic and hydraulic (H&H) modeling for floodplain studies, culverts, bridges, detention basins, and channel improvements.
Support preparation of engineering drawings, technical reports, and construction documents under the guidance of senior engineers.
Conduct fieldwork including topographic data collection, condition assessments, and construction observation.
Contribute to watershed and stormwater master planning efforts through data analysis and GIS integration.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and CAD/BIM designers to deliver high-quality, resilient solutions.
Stay current on industry standards, codes, and sustainable engineering practices in surface water and stormwater design.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (or related field), or demonstrated equivalency of education and/or experience.
Due to the nature of the work, U.S. Citizenship is required.
Preferred Qualifications
Internship or collegiate project experience in hydrology, hydraulics, stormwater, or surface water design.
Familiarity with H&H modeling software (e.g., HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, SWMM, XP-SWMM, or similar).
Exposure to GIS tools for hydrologic analysis and mapping.

The Assistant Project Manager is an entry-level project management position and is expected to learn and develop competency in the Essential Duties and Responsibilities. In addition, the APM is responsible for providing administrative and construction support for our Project Management team.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Manage project documentation, including submittals, RFIs, (Return for Information), and meeting minutes.
Oversee project activities as assigned by the Project Manager, including planning, coordinating, circumventing/resolving problem areas, ensuring all company/project policies, procedures, and standards are maintained, etc.
Maintain change orders, submittal, and document (drawing) control logs. Prepare required logs and other project documentation for construction meetings.
Responsible for contract submittals that are accurate and timely.
Responsible for creating and issuing the Subcontractors' contracts.
Responsible for the assembly and timely delivery of the Owner and Maintenance Manuals.
Ensure that the project quality control plan is followed.
Interacts with subcontractors to ensure we have obtained the correct documentation and drawing for the Owner and Maintenance Manuals.
Responsible for keeping the Warranty Log up to date.
Attend company/project meetings with clients, subcontractors, etc., and provide project management support
Cooperate with and technically assist field personnel assigned to the area of responsibility.
Monitor other contractors' activities and progress.
Responsible for creating the Job Information Sheets and establishing Job Files.
Prepares price change orders and project reports and documentation.
Works with payroll to ensure accurate payroll information.

**Job Description**
**AECOM** is seeking a **Project Engineer** in **Sacramento, CA.**
_Candidates will be expected to work with and provide support for the on-site Construction Manager or the Senior Construction Manager and associated support team members including estimators, CEQA consultants, engineers, architects, contractors on various projects, including but not limited to, the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation._
**The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:**
+ Creates value to the customer by developing strong working relationships; proactive thinking and actions; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; problem-solving and identifying continual improvements.
+ Assists in preparation of construction monthly progress reports for presentations at team and executive session meetings by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing construction data and trends.
+ Manages the RFI and submittal review process. Screens RFIs for errors and inconsistencies.
+ Maintains project control logs including Submittal, RFIs, PCOs, COs, Owner Requested Changes, Payments, Deficiency Notices, etc. in the Project's MIS and confirms logs with Contractor on a weekly basis.
+ Maintains and distributes current contract plans and specifications to the Team. Ensures RFIs are posted and current for the Inspectors' use.
+ Confirms contractor's maintenance of record drawings and as-builts.
+ Assists in coordinating field activities with State Inspectors, including coordinating field activities with the Team, observes work in the field and assists DGS' Inspectors as necessary, and assists DGS inspectors to prepare and manage Deficiency Notices.
+ Develops Owner estimates for proposed change orders (PCOs), prepares PCO documentation, and provides evaluation of Contractor proposals when requested.
+ Reviews and provide comments on Contractor's monthly schedule updates.
+ Monitors the response time for the Owner's (Action) submittal reviews and facilitate prompt closure to all open items.

+ Assists in preparing meeting minutes.
+ Assists in processing pay applications.

**Qualifications**
**Minimum Requirements:**
+ Bachelor's degree in construction management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience and/or education.

+ Valid U.S. Driver's License.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Demonstrate experience and knowledge in project scheduling, estimating (with Means or Saylor or similar manuals), technical report writing, developing technical scopes of work and change order control processing.

+ Demonstrate proactive critical thinking skills.

Job Description
AECOM is actively seeking a talented mid-level Geologist for immediate employment in the Sacramento area. The successful candidate will research and solve technical problems in accordance with accepted practice and methodology. The individual will report to and be guided by one or more project managers and senior technical staff in the execution of field work at projects sites, and assist with gathering and analyzing geological, hydrogeological, and geochemical data in both the field and office settings. The candidate must possess their own personal vehicle for travel to and from job offices.
This position will possibly require frequent travel to locations within the continental U.S., Alaska, and Hawaii, in addition to possible travel for work outside of the U.S. Travel assignments may be one to four weeks in duration.
The individual will work on both field and office tasks. In the field, the individual will use established technical approaches and methods to collect data. In the office, the individual will work independently to evaluate the data and present the results for less complex projects, and support more senior staff in the technical analysis and reporting for projects of greater complexity. With greater experience, the individual will analyze issues and develop solutions to technical problems. The individual will gain knowledge from direct experience and working with more senior staff and gain increasing responsibility to apply their technical knowledge and experience to implement strategies and support design and delivery of products to meet customer and business needs.
The responsibilities of this role include, but may not be limited to the following:
Conduct surface and subsurface investigations that employ soil borings; test pits; well installations; soil, groundwater, and soil vapor sampling; aquifer testing; and borehole and surface geophysical surveys.
Examine and describe soil samples and interpret geologic and hydrogeologic conditions.
Interpret and record data, conduct analyses, compare findings to relevant studies and local, state, and federal regulations.
Perform subsurface drilling investigations to determine the presence and extent of contamination in soil and groundwater, and vapor in soil pore-space matrices.
Be proactive in recognizing and appropriately addressing health and safety issues for the entire team.
Assist with preparation of proposals for small and moderate scope projects.
Work independently with a minimal to moderate level of guidance and work effectively as a team member.
Assist project managers with budget and scope preparation, development of work plans, and overall coordination of a variety of project management tasks related to new and on-going projects.
Assist more junior staff members with aspects of their job or grow to coordinate activities of a small team.
Drive quality control for assigned tasks or segments of a project.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor of Science degree in geology or relevant geological science discipline (e.g., geophysics, hydrogeology, or geochemistry)

Preferred Qualifications
Two years of environmental remediation and investigation experience
Master of Science degree in geology or relevant geological science discipline (e.g., geophysics, hydrogeology, or geochemistry).
Demonstrated experience with site characterization, subsurface investigation, and remediation projects at various client sites.
Demonstrated experience applying geological knowledge to monitoring and subsurface investigations in field and office settings.
Possess technical report writing skills and prepare monitoring and investigation reports.
Ability to independently perform fieldwork and provide leadership of field teams.
Experience conducting fieldwork such as: drilling, characterization, and sampling; monitoring well (groundwater and soil vapor) installation and test pit excavation; soil, sediment, soil vapor, surface water, and groundwater sampling; surface and borehole geophysical techniques; aquifer testing; and remedial systems performance monitoring.
Experience preparing plans, permits applications, and reports for hazardous waste, air quality, storm water, and wastewater programs.
Ability to clearly communicate with subcontractors, regulatory agents, and clients during field activities.
Ability and willingness to travel up to 40‒60% to various job sites within the US (primary area of travel is Northern California and nearby regions).
40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER certificate and annual refresher certificate.
10-hour and/or 30-hour OSHA Construction Training course certificate.
First aid/CPR certificate.
