PURPOSE: Design, build, rework, maintain, repair and troubleshoot all forms of tooling (including dies, tools, gauges, fixtures, and molds).
JOB DESCRIPTION (DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES):

As a CNC / ACME / Tool & Die Machinist, you are responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC and or ACME to produce machined parts according to blueprint specifications. nVent expects you to adhere to all safe work procedures and to create parts up to the highest of quality standards.
WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:
Sets up and operates ACME / CNC / Tool & Die equipment to produce quality machined parts as specified by blueprints, layout, and templates.
Plans sequence of operations applying knowledge of materials.
Perform duties required to assist setup and operate multiple ACME / CNC / Tool & Die equipment simultaneously for a variety of machined products.
Work from drawings, route sheets, schedules, written, and verbal instructions.
Check material for correct size and type.
Use micrometers, calipers, scales, and fixed gauges to check work in process and ensure adherence to specifications.
Move materials in the performance of duties.
Install and check safety devices as needed for specific jobs.
Report faulty equipment, defective material and unusual conditions to supervisor.
Complete required quality checks/documents and production documentation.
Observe all prescribed safety rules and regulations and maintain work area in a neat and orderly condition.
Perform other related duties as assigned or directed, which may require more than the normal shift hours or work week to meet company needs.
YOU HAVE:
Knowledge of manufacturing processes
Experience following work instructions or reading blueprints
Experience using hand and power tools
Prior experience working in a light industrial facility preferred
Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment and meet operational deadlines.

Enginetics ETG is searching for a hard-working, motivated and dedicated Manual Machinist who is proficient in the programming, setup and operation of vertical milling machines. This is an immediate opening for a multi-talented, top notch Manual Machinist with excellent communication skills to work in our Huber Heights, Ohio facility. This position is on 2nd shift.
Shift hours are as follows;
2nd shift Monday-Friday 2:40pm to 11:10pm
Qualifications
Candidates should have demonstrated experience in the following areas;
Set up and fabricate complex precision parts to specifications using manual machine tools such as Bridgeport, Lathe, Surface grinders, drill press, boring bars, etc
Ability to set-up and run their own job.
Monitor the machining process, measure parts during fabrication operations and adjust settings and operations to ensure product conformance to all applicable specifications.
Proficient with the use of measurement instruments: micrometers, dial indicators, calipers etc.
Experience and ability to understand and interpret specifications, diagrams and plans
Highly motivated, detail oriented, self-sufficient with a “make it happen” attitude & approach.
Understanding of G-Code programming a plus.
Experience in part inspection, First Piece inspection.
Experience with Anilam, Prototrak or similar controls
Ability to perform programming using Conversational Prototrak Controls
Job shop environment a plus.

Summary:Company seeking a skilled and precise machinist to set up and operate Manual Horizontal Boring Mills, VTL's, and/or lathes. The ideal candidate will be able to work well with minimal supervision. Candidate must also understand how to read mechanical blueprints, perform calculations, and make cuts with precision to meet quality standards. Experience or previous training required with the intent of increasing skills during employment.

The Machinist will operate manual and CNC machines to fabricate and manufacture components for internal and external use for Gray America Corp. and its subsidiaries.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
None.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Operates fabrication machinery to produce parts used in manufacturing processes.
Reads and interprets blueprints and design sketches to ensure proper dimensions and specifications for parts.
Selects the appropriate cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials to be used on machines.
Examines and measures complete units and parts to identify any defects and to ensure units conform with predetermined specifications; adjusts machine controls to resolve production errors.
Must be able to accurately read a micrometer, caliper, and tape measure
Inspect machinery for any repairs needed; performs minor repairs within expertise.
Utilizes Fusion Autodesk software to prepare G-Code for machine, tests results.
Set up machine for runs
Works with other machinists and maintenance team to determine best solution for machined part
Maintains cleanliness and safety of work area.
Complies with applicable safety standards and regulations.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
