Role Description

Transportation driver job in Odessa, TX
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Transport/Bobtail Driver to join our dynamic team. The current schedule is Tuesday through Saturday. As a driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely and efficient delivery of fuel products.
You will be transporting fuel and must be well-versed in all relevant safety protocols and regulations related to fuel transportation. Our ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to safety, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. You will need to demonstrate a deep understanding of fuel handling procedures.
Shift and Schedule
This is a full-time, Monday through Friday position with flexibility to work overtime.
Compensation
This position offers a highly competitive annual earning potential ranging from $85,000 to $135,000 per year.
Key Responsibilities AS A FUEL DRIVER
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the bobtail truck and fuel equipment to ensure safety and compliance
Drive in a safe manner, obeying and adhering to all local, state, and federal regulations
Drive to fuel loading terminal or bulk tank to load truck
Drive to customer site to dispense product via pump system
Must be able to climb, bend, push, pull repetitively
Report any vehicle or issues to management promptly and effectively
Maintain accurate transportation logs and reports as required by company policies and regulations
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED AS A FUEL DRIVER
Valid Class A CDL with Tanker and Hazmat endorsements
2 years of fuel delivery preferred (Gas, Diesel, Dyed Diesel)
Proven experience as a fuel delivery driver or in a similar role
5+ years CDL A Tanker and/or Bobtail experience preferred
Must be able to drive manual transmission
Strong knowledge of safety regulations and best practices for transporting hazardous materials
Excellent driving record with no serious infractions
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively with minimal supervision
