Truck Driver Newly Licensed
Truck driver class a job in Richmond, VA
You graduated the CDL Academy with your Class A license, now what. Many companies expect you to have at least 1 year OTR Class A experience before hiring you.
They do this because they are smaller carriers and can't afford to insure a new Class A driver. We don't have that problem. We are a billion dollar carrier with many career choices.
We are hiring 23 Class A CDL drivers at entry level position in the next two weeks. Business is picking up and we have trucks sitting empty.
Let's make this clear. This is not a local position. After training there “may” be a few local and regional positions but don't depend on that. Many drivers can switch over to other positions as they become available.
After getting hired you go out for thirty days all over the country for OTR training. This is thirty days straight, no days off.
This is like basic training in the military. This is only for your first thirty days. Once you complete your training you will be hired on a permanent basis.
At first for your first thirty days your pay is a salary of $800.00 per week. After you complete training you will start bringing in huge pay checks ranging from $1100~$1600 per week on average.
Currently we have 23 positions for entry level Class A Regional and OTR drivers. Regional drivers get home weekly and sometimes during their work week. OTR drivers stay out 10-14 days normally before getting home for your days off.
After you first complete training you must be willing to run OTR if no other runs are available that you'd like. Once you are hired you will have access to many regional and dedicated runs.
It's just a matter of being patient for a few weeks or so to get what you want.
The approval process is quick. After your approval you will be scheduled for our 3 day orientation locally. Once finished, you will go out with a trainer for 4 weeks for OTR training.
Our goal is to shape you into a great confidant safe successful Class A driver.
Once you get home from training you need to unwind. You can take 2-5 days off with your family. Then come back and talk with your terminal manager to discuss which position is a great fit for you.
After which you then get moved into your own company truck and a big pay raise. Running dedicated, regional and OTR runs.
We have several divisions. Van, reefer and flatbed.
We do offer a tie down class for those trainee's that would like to get into the Flatbed division.
At present we are offering tuition reimbursement up to $5,000. We will pay you back what you paid for your training up to $5,000.
Also we have a $1500 dollar sign on bonus for trainees.
Offering one of the best benefit packages in the industry including
Medical plans
Prescription drug plans
Dental plan
Free college tuition
Vision plan
401K
Employee assistance program
Employee stock purchase program
Disability
Life
Group accident
Critical illness
Best vacation benefit in the industry.
Our vacation benefit usually gives our employee's twenty to thirty days off a year. Paid time off is one of our most appreciated benefits. After healthcare, when we asked our employees 50% of employees said it is the most important benefit.
We can't be beat with our benefits and career choices. That is why we have one of the best driver retention rates in the industry. This is why we are a top rated carrier. After you get hired with us you won't want to leave.
Recently we acquired a 1.3 Billion dollar LTL carrier (less than truck load) one of the best LTL carriers in America. This means more choices for runs and home times that are opening for you to choose from.
We fleet consists of excellent maintained trucks that won't have you broken down on the side of the road.
