Now hiring Class A Truck Drivers without experience. This is a Class A CDL driver entry level position. To be considered you must have graduated from a training Academy with at least 120 hours of instruction. You will need to supply your certificate of completion or transcripts to us for verification. You worked hard to get your Class A CDL. With no OTR experience your finding out no one will hire you. Over the road is actually known as sleeping in the truck in 3 separate states besides your own. You can still build your OTR resume while driving regionally. Presently we are hiring for 24 job openings for Class A drivers without experience. We are offer great pay, excellent benefits and many home time options. Once you start you will be expected to run regionally getting home every week or OTR getting home every 10-14 days. Once you build your resume after several months you'll then be able to acquire many other positions including local and dedicated runs. Maintains agency vehicle in good running order and clean condition in compliance with policy and procedures. Completes maintenance log as required. Reports any vehicle concerns to Food Service Manager. If an agency vehicle is not available, driver may be directed to use personal vehicle. Maintains all meal transport equipment according to department policies and procedures. Reports any broken or damaged equipment to the Dining Center Coordinator for repair or replacement. Delivers, along with meals, information, notices, pet food, and special event treats as requested. Completes required daily paperwork indicating delivery of meal(s). In conjunction with the Dining Center Coordinator, maintains route book. Adheres to agency policy regarding handling of donations. Informs Dining Center Coordinator of any updates, information, or concerns (e.g., safety, health, other) regarding participants. Assists Dining Center Coordinator with assessments when required. Participates in meetings and training as required. Maintains participant confidentiality as well as professional relationships with participants. Treats participants and co-workers with respect, helpfulness, and kindness. Participates in the process of teaching, training, and mentoring student interns and volunteers working within the program area. Acts in a manner consistent with agency values. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications EDUCATION &/or EXPERIENCE: Food service or customer service background, preferred. Knowledge and familiarity of geographic service area preferred. LICENSES OR CERTIFICATES: Valid California Driver's License, and personal auto liability insurance required. Must have a personal vehicle in good driving/operating condition, insured for State minimum liability requirements, and that can be used for the applicable job functions noted above. Deliver Girl Scout cookies to our many ‘Cookie Cupboards' located throughout northern California. As needed during the cookie season, the Delivery Driver will load up a cargo van and deliver product to the designated ‘Cookie Cupboards' in the Humboldt County areas. The Delivery Driver will ensure that all of our Girl Scouts have the cookies they need to meet their business' goals. This position will start on 2/1/2026 and run through 3/31/2026 at the latest, however the first few weeks maybe slower than the middle to end of the program, and this role is an as needed only role. We cannot guarantee work throughout the program. Essential Functions: Provide excellent customer service in a timely, appropriate manner to all volunteers that serve as our Cookie Cupboard Managers. High level of communication with both staff and volunteers on a daily basis. Accurate time management to arrive within the established window of cupboard volunteer's schedule. Drive a cargo van, or 15 passenger van, or 10-foot Budget box truck throughout the designated areas. Repetitively lift and load thousands of 8lb cases of delicious Girl Scout cookies during your work day. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Experience working with volunteers preferred. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines. Strong interpersonal skills to ensure positive and effective interactions with individuals from all backgrounds and education levels. Availability to work varied hours including nights and weekends, as necessary. Physically able to repeatedly move 8lb cookie cases in and out of cupboards during your work day. Ability to operate in a constant state of alertness and a safe manner while driving. Valid mobile phone number to receive calls and texts as needed or during your work - stipend included. Valid California State driver's license, proof of insurance; Class B license preferred but not required. Drive a rental vehicle, must be at least 25 years of age.
