Works under supervision and is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of Santa Cruz Seaside Company property and the City of Santa Cruz Main Beach. Support other departments with various items including digging, sandblasting, demolishing projects, moving office furniture and files, and hauling materials. Class B drivers drive the garbage truck to off-site dump. Clean up of blood or bodily fluid.
UNIQUE JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Wear Company issued uniform. Most work is outside and work shift may start as early as 4:00 a.m. Must be able to work 7 days per week. Job duties may involve use of heavy equipment. May work around dust and chemical fumes. May be required to wear hardhats, gloves, boots, belts, dust masks, goggles and earplugs.
Full-time employees are required to possess and maintain a Class B drivers license, are subject to Department of Transportation (DOT) drug and alcohol testing and other DOT requirements.
JOB TASKS (IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE):
Clean up litter and debris in parking lots, around buildings and on the City beach.
Sweep, polish and scrub outside of buildings, ride areas, rides and Company features.

Qualifications:
3 years driving experience required.
Valid Non-CDL Class C driver's license (unless otherwise indicated by state), ensuring safe operation of company vehicles in accordance with traffic laws and conditions.
Preferred 1-2 years experience in a customer service position, or a minimum of 1 year of related experience.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs. on a consistent basis.

Position Purpose:

Prior to transporting materials reviews shipment records, manifests, container labeling, vehicle placards, and integrity of loaded drums, roll-off boxes or bulk tankers.
Driving within the local market, ensures that DOT requirements such as load weight limits, driver log books, Vehicle Inspection Records, transportation permits, insurance cards, fuel trip reports, IFTA fuel stickers, or other paperwork is up to date and valid.
Consults with customers pertaining to load conditions, drum counts or paperwork inconsistencies to ensure that materials can be properly transported to designated site(s).

What you will need!
Current Class A CDL
HazMat & Tank endorsements
One year of Class A CDL driving fuel hauling experience preferred
Two years of Class A CDL driving experience required
Must be able to pass driving test in company equipment.
Pass required MVR and DOT pre-employment testing and background check
Must be able to drive manual transmission. No automatic restriction.
Must have truck trailer experience
