We are currently seeking Part Time Security Assistants to support a contract at Hill AFB, Utah. The Security Assistant will provide continuous security support to ensure the safety and integrity of all personnel, assets, and operations within the contracted area.
Key Responsibilities:
Protection and Surveillance:
Guard and protect all government personnel, information, documentation, materials, buildings, equipment, property, and operations from unauthorized access, theft, and/or sabotage.
Monitor all entry and exit control points into classified spaces within assigned facilities.
Conduct continuous surveillance to detect and respond to security breaches.
Access Control:
Implement and manage all access control procedures at entry desks, including the identification and verification of personnel and visitors.
Issue appropriate badges to personnel and visitors after thorough review of visitor requests and applicable background information in accordance with established procedures.
Perform 100% hands-off inspections of all hand-carried items at entry points to ensure prohibited items are not introduced to or removed from the facility.
Emergency Response and Incident Management:
Respond to and assist Government and Contractor employees, visitors, and emergency response personnel during security and safety-related situations.
Cooperate with investigative agencies and law enforcement in connection with potential or suspected violations of law against the Government, including preserving evidence in accordance with established procedures.
Assist in preliminary inquiries related to the loss or theft of Government and personal property, and other security incidents within their areas of responsibility.
Monitor and respond to security alarms from intrusion detection systems and other protection devices.
Facility Monitoring:
Monitor fire protection systems and ensure unrestricted access by the Fire Department and medical teams.
Respond to building conditions and alarm systems such as gas, fire, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning.
Report incidents to required Government personnel and local off-site agencies when necessary.
Knowledge and Qualifications:
Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Relevant work experience
Security Clearance Level: Secret, Tier 3-Active or the ability to obtain (LSI can assist in getting you a clearance).
US Citizenship
Successfully pass a federal drug and background screen
Preferred Skills and Expertise:
Knowledge and experience utilizing DoD approved security systems, such as Defense Information Security System (DISS), National Industrial Security System (NISS), and NISP Central Access Information Security System (NCAISS).
Experience working with Department of Defense agencies.

Job Description
We are seeking a Security Guard, 1st Shift to join our team. In this role, you will work to maintain a safe and secure environment for associates, visitors and company assets. The position will work closely with First Responders in administrating first aid and communicating and directing emergency personnel to site. The ideal candidate has proven surveillance skills and a working knowledge of security monitoring systems and emergency equipment.
A day in the office looks like this:
Monitor and control access at the employee entrances in part by checking for associate badges for all individuals entering the facility.
Validates individual's employment status and logs any associate without a company badge.
Secures premises and personnel by patrolling facility, monitoring surveillance equipment, inspecting doors and other points of entry to ensure that it's properly secured and locked.
Random patrol facility.
Observe for signs of theft and disorder and investigate disturbances or suspicious activity.
Prevent loss and damage by immediately reporting irregularities, directing visitors to main office entrance, ensuring adherence to facilities badge policy, preventing non-Lakeshore associates from entering the facility, etc.
Maintains environment by monitoring and setting building and equipment controls (BAF, Heater units, air exchange units).
Completes reports daily by recording observations, information, occurrences and surveillance activities.
Perform basic first aid and CPR as required.

Air Force Qualification Standards

The Security Officer provides a safe environment for patients, visitors, employees, and volunteers, typically in an office or ambulatory clinic setting. This position is responsible to monitor visitor or patient activity, monitor the premises in and around the facility , enforce policy, provide assistance and direction, respond to emergencies, and to provide protection for employees, visitors, and Intermountain property.
**Essential Functions**
+ Operates and monitors security technology systems, including surveillance cameras, access control systems, and alarm systems. Ensures proper functioning and maintenance of security equipment.
+ De-escalation: Security officers use verbal and non-verbal strategies to calm individuals and resolve conflicts peacefully, minimizing the need for physical force.
+ Dealing with Violent Patients: They intervene to protect the safety of everyone involved when patients act aggressively or violently, including using physical restraints when necessary.
+ Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring compliance with regulations such as HIPAA when reporting crimes or incidents, disclosing only the minimum necessary information to law enforcement.
+ Bomb Threat/Suspicious Package Responses: Trained to respond to bomb threats and suspicious packages, following protocols to ensure the safety of the facility.
+ Participation in Drills: Engaging in exercises like infant abduction and active shooter scenarios to prepare staff for real-life situations.
+ Conducting Searches: Performing respectful and safe searches of patients and searching for narcotics, ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
+ Safety Inspections: Conducting inspections of walking surfaces, fire extinguishers, and overall facility safety to mitigate risks.
+ Parking Enforcement: Enforcing parking regulations to ensure safety and accessibility, focusing on enhancing the patient experience.
+ Investigations: Collaborating with HR and law enforcement to conduct investigations, following protocols for disclosing patient information, and ensuring facility safety.

**Minimum Qualifications**
+ Current Driver's License (if applicable for the role).
+ Current Basic Life Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers or willing to obtain within 90 days of hire.
+ At least 21 years of age.
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ One-year previous law enforcement, corrections, public safety, military police or security experience.
**Physical Requirements**
+ Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, monitors, identify equipment and supplies, and be able to assess customer needs.
+ Frequent interactions with customers require employees to communicate as well as understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately.
+ Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy.
+ Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transport, pull, and push equipment. Will also work on hands and knees and bend to set-up, troubleshoot, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items.
+ For roles requiring driving: Expected to drive a vehicle which requires sitting, seeing and reading signs, traffic signals, and other vehicles.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide high quality security services, safeguarding personnel, property, and information with professionalism
