SecurityOfficers, sometimes referred to as Security Guards, deter criminal activity, protect property and enforce rules on a property. Some monitor surveillance cameras and alarms from a stationary position, while others patrol areas and do security checks. In factories and offices, SecurityOfficers provide protection for equipment and workers along with checking the credentials of vehicles and individuals coming and going from the premises.
Available SecurityOfficer Positions:
Rover : Foot or vehicle patrols, responsible for detecting any suspicious behavior and preventing vandalism, thefts or other criminal behavior, etc.
Gatehouse: Greet residents and guests with a friendly demeanor, check identification, log visitor vehicles, announce visitors, control access to all persons to the property, etc.
Front Desk: Acknowledge and greet all guests with utmost courtesy and urgency, customer service, access control, greeting residents and guests with a courteous demeanor, monitor CCTV camera systems, announce visitors, distribute packages, etc.
Qualifications:
At least 21 years of age or older
High school diploma or equivalent
Valid Driver's License
Must be able to stand for up to 8-hour periods
Must be able to do extensive walking and stair climbing
Must be able to lift up to 10lbs
Valid state licensing, if applicable
Strong customer service skills
Familiarity with report writing
Monitoring and surveillance experience
Must be able to multitask and prioritize assigned tasks

While lying on his/her back, the candidate will be given one (1) minute to do as many bent leg sit-ups as possible.
300 Meter Run.
This measures aerobic power, or the ability to perform an intense burst of effort for a short time period or distance.
This component consists of running 300 meters as fast as possible (considered a sprint run).
Maximum Push-Ups.
This measures muscular endurance of the upper body.
This component consists of doing as many push-ups as possible until muscular failure.

Basic Functions:

Responsibilities:

Be on time and report to post in full uniform.

Patrol physical property or maintain fixed post position, being diligent to report any suspicious activity and investigate accidents and criminal acts.
Monitor cameras or equipment in a continuous fashion as outlined in the post orders.
Maintain a working knowledge of all emergency policies, procedures and regulations to be able to respond to alarms, incidents and emergency situations.
Complete Daily Activity Reports, Log Book entries, Incident Reports and all relevant reports related to job assignment.
Make recommendations to management on better safety and loss prevention processes as identified during daily routine.
Have knowledge of any life safety systems, fire panels, CCTV system computer, and other such equipment to complete job assignments. Ensure continuous and safe operation of all elevators and access doors. Know authorized contractor personnel who are responsible for maintenance and upkeep of equipment.
Ensure training and compliance guidelines are met as outlined by AFS and other agencies regulating the customer / market.
Communicate on a daily basis with Security Supervisor any new Security Issues or changes that need to be considered or implemented.
